  • those talent shows dont want real talent. only gimmicky stuff

  • Very Bach-esque, has a Brandenburg concerto feel to it.

  • Very Haydn-esque. I'd like to hear how it sounds with a high quality sound library.

  • I love it!

  • This is amazing. Just astounding - thanks for sharing with us DeistPaladin :)

  • Of course you have to be co-host during his show! Good luck.

  • @mistara31415 Have you posted any of your music? I'd like to hear it.

  • @mistara31415 Yes, all the instruments were played through the Kurtzweil K-2000 Synth.

  • @mistara31415 Believe it or not, there is no sheet music. I could write it all down, as I did for some of my early compositions, but it would take too long. It's faster just to play it out.

  • Worthy contestant ;-)

  • i really liked it!!

  • Ummmm, sounds like it's influenced by Mozart to me. But I have a tin ear.

  • @bdf2718 Your ear is better than you think. I'm strangely attached to the 18th century and this style feels natural for me.

  • Absolutely awesome.

  • I like it. And the synthesizer sound sometimes remind me of the soundtrack to the old Amiga500-FRPG "The Faery Tale Adventure" (one of my all-time favorites, not only cuz of the soundtrack).

  • This is elegant.

I like when the reeds come in, and the accents woven into the solos.

Me thinks you put up this quality of sound for the rippers...

  • The way you build this piece is quite interesting... I'm very impressed. This reminds me a bit of Mozart, Bach, and Mendelsohn, and with the synthesizer-quality it would work in a video game or RPG. Great! Also, you haven't done any vids in a while...where are you?! :P Well, I hope.

  • Excellent.

I find it has that great old school, 16bit-era RPG, sound to it.

I can picture walking around a castle-town to this.

    Well done

  • Talent. You gots it.

  • @NonStampCollector Thanks, I'm so hoping DPR thinks so too.

  • I posted a Video Response to you honey! You're not the only one with talent. xoxoxoxo

  • @fablespinner I'd like to post ALL of your songs on my deistbard account. Maybe we can work on that this evening when I get home.

  • @DeistPaladin - O_O ...OOOookay. Whatever floats yer boat.

  • Wow, I am impressed. Great music for an exorcism. For the video I can see Catholic priests dancing through a meadow chasing.... never mind....

  • Beautiful. Have you got a CD out?

  • Very nice, I'll give it * * * * *.

  • Very nice, good luck!

  • I appreciate your efforts along these lines. Sorry the ignorance of the modern world has descended on you in the comments.

  • This is midi right :) . to get the full force i think you might need an orchestra.

  • @gloryhood Besides, Nintendo main line games have the best composers in the world. :)

  • Well done sir, very chipper tune.

  • Reminds me of Final Fantasy Tactics.

  • But nice music, John. Good "luck" : )

  • needs balls.. have you considered incorperating a double-kick?

  • pretty inspired by mozart, huh? or at least the classicism.

  • Comment removed

  • @gloryhood now that you mention it , it does huh? like when your in the castles or something :3

  • Really needs something...

Can't put my finger on it...

Oh yes. It needs an orchestra.

  • Very nice! The piece flows quite well, I am thoroughly impressed. :)

  • I like it!

  • good luck with the talent show. much love and respect.

  • John...this is a good piece of music...keep the good work coming.

  • DeistPaladin, this is absolutely amazing. do you have a CD I can purchase?

  • @k9lionheart In his "Dpr Charity Drive" video, he indicated he was submitting a CD of his music to the MSF charity auction. Whether he has any for order, and whether this song is on it, I don't know.

There's more music on his other account, /user/deistbard

  • @k9lionheart I'm working on putting together a CD for sale through the same outfit that published my book.

  • That's pretty damn cool. How did you compose this (i.e. instruments, software, etc)?

  • DO you have CDs or other ways of getting your works that are published?
