i understand what u r going through as my parents r also chinese. i also have not told my parents as i know what will happen and how they react. What your parents are thinking is about family honour and " having face" around other chinese poeple. maybe i will see u on sat 2nd july. thanks for uploading
@edgware2008 I wish you every luck in your coming out. I have told my parents, but the problem with them is that they don't think that being gay is natural, or accepted in society. I don't know if my parents are trying to preserve family honor or face, but its not the only problem surrounding the whole idea of being gay to them. They also keep telling me about how anal sex is not good for you... But I know that it will take time for them to accept me so I'm not rushing them, I wish you luck too!
@YanniSaysPie have u come out to other members of your extend family, aunts uncles etc? i know another chinese person who has come out and he told me when he when back to HK last year he could not mention to this to his extended family that he was gay.
@edgware2008 Well I've officially come out to my uncle last year when I went to HK, but I'm pretty sure many family members such as cousins know I'm gay as its on my facebook and everything. I choose not to tell my grandparents just incase it sends them an early grave LOL, but most people in my family should know, on my mums side anyways. I dont speak to my dads side as often so I dont know or care haha
@parisiswhereilllive got it when I went to see Lady Gaga's Monsterball concert in London! but you can also get it online now from her webstore! google lady gaga store. I'm not sure if they still sell the shirt in your country though, if not you can always try ebay :)
