This song is beautiful & Emily's performance of it is perfect. It's one of those songs that's sometimes overlooked next to BBS's epic, bigger-than-life anthems.

But its soft-spokenness is part of what makes it special: it's personal & heartfelt. It's a sincere song about friendship & love, & it's got lots of joy but also some melancholy.

So beautiful & so bittersweet: the song is reminding us that life is short, & that if we don't reach out & be a part of life, it will pass us by.

Yes. A lot of their members, such as Emily Haines, Feist, Amy Milan and some others are members of other bands or have their own solo career, so they can't always tour and perform with BSS due to schedule conflicts.

That's why at many concerts, for songs like 7/4 Shoreline, which Feist sings, or Anthems for a Seventeen Year-Old Girl, which Emily sings, another woman singer, who tours with BSS, will sing instead.
