either way im gettin a MSI 9600GT OC @ 700mhz core and 1900mhz memory so i can play gta iv maxed out.. right now i cant get above 2 fps in gta iv. i might make another vid similar to this but usin my new pc (my cousins old one) when i put the 9600gt in it.
Intel Celeron D 3.20Ghz (faster than my 3100+)
2GB DDR 333mhz 2.5cl (gonna get kingston hyperx with 400mhz and cl2 when i get the money)
Ati XPRESS 200 Mobo
same geforce 6200TC from my other pc since pc died and i had no other use for it
@calculatorboyqwe no so much as that, it has loading issues that only someone with a really fast couple ssds in raid 0 could avoid xD harddrives fail when it comes to playing saints row 2. Be smooth then hdd light goes nuts and its loading another part of the map, game pauses and stutters. Much worse than gta iv, gta iv pwns saints row 2 in optimization. I managed to get gta iv running on a pentium 4 ht 630 @ stock speeds perfectly fine!
@TheOnlyDuST yeah i know wht u mean, i have tht game as well, and i've got a really good computer like 6gigs of ddr3 ram and an i7 processor, gt 230 gcard and shit but tht game still lags on my comp, i just dont get it,
my brother bought it and sold it to me cheap and i did some upgrades. i still have that crap machine. it goes unused unless friends r over we use it to play games over lan. i have 5 decent machines that i let my friends use
dude are you blind? look in the vid description to see what type of hardware this was ran on... i now have that card as a backup. i have a Geforce 9300 GE in this machine now. Its one of the machine my friends use during my lan parties.
I installed the latest Nvidia Drivers (Required for Nvidia Physx) to run. I have an AMD X2 6000+ with 4GB RAM, MSI 8800 GT O.C. 512MB.
NOW... In the Agiea Control Panel, I turned OFF the Graphics GPU physx acceleration. CPU usage stays around 50%. Then I turned ON the GPU acceleration (thats suppose to handle the Physics processing) and I ran the demo again. Still the CPU usage stayed around 50%. I doubt this stuff even uses the graphics card as intended. Physics is a gimmick anyway.
Recently Fudzilla have done some very interesting research into this. The GPU isn't very good at doing PhysX so a lot of it is done on the CPU. On a proper Ageia PhysX card, it's all done on the PPU.
mind u this is on my crappy pc with 1.8ghz , 2.5gb ddr ram, and my VERY CRAPPY 6200 TC. when i get a camera ill post a vid of me play crysis. crysis ran amazingly smooth on my 6200 TC with all on low. while others get 13 fps or so with their 6200s in crysis. the new 175 drivers (the latest for the 6 series as i know of) really help in crysis and i oc a lil
how do you get physx? i got nvidia but have no idea how to get this
xXlilgraham2Xx 1 year ago
@xXlilgraham2Xx Suggestion 1 - go to NVidia's site. Suggestion 2 - Live with it. WHICH ONE DO YOU PREFER NICE SIR?!?

SO LAGGY and 25 fps is not that good, especially w/o Fraps.
BarqzBitez 3 years ago
im use to it so 25fps is to bad beside your eyes on see 27fps anyway so 2fps less isnt gonna make much a diff
TheOnlyDuST 3 years ago
50 vs 27. You can totally see the difference.
Sclunger 3 years ago
that is because the frames go by faster not smoother
TheOnlyDuST 3 years ago
But it does make much difference.

EVGA 780i SLi
EVGA GTX 285 SC 2GB
8GB kingston hyperx 1066mhz ddr2 cl5

yeah, but i mean normal computers... not nasa stuff like you have^^
and lol, from that crap machine to that nasa computer? nice one.. you rich bastard..
i just wanted to say, that gta IV is crappily optimized, so it would never need that extreme computers..
DasAntiNaziBroetchen 2 years ago
lol try saints row 2 on pc its ALOT worse...
TheOnlyDuST 2 years ago
i believe that^^
damn.. and i wanted to play it...

saints row dont even runs on my pc maxed out well...and i got 4gigs of ddr3 ram qadcore 3,5 ghz processor and a gtx 295.....
xxxxxxzellerxxxxxx 1 year ago
@xxxxxxzellerxxxxxx It's because Saints Row caps the framerate at like ~24fps on PC. It sucks.

I miss the old Ageia PhysX demos, despite having more variety Nvidia PhysX feels more clunky and less interactive.
AnnoyedDragon 3 years ago
just this demo, i didn't realise it's not actualy using a physx enabled card just runnning on a sub 2ghz single core cpu
check out the physx demo's on the gtx 280

lol laggy
benjaminexell 3 years ago
so if i buy a 9800gtx i can just download the physx driver and get the same effect of a ageia card, but only from my gpu?
rawe9113 3 years ago
yea search nvidia power pack in google. the latest driver as of this time is 177.83 which is included in the power pack and a bunch of demos
TheOnlyDuST 3 years ago
where can i download the demo?
Ranoko123 3 years ago
It's a part of nVidia PhysX Driver. (8.xx)

The problem is that the GTX280xxx is low on stock and my ATI doesnt run Nvidia software, just have to wait a while i guess =p,

I used CAMSTUDIO (i think) one time to record a 1998 game played in 2008.
It was ok.
