Kwanzaa was not invented by Communists, but by a guy from California who is a convicted felon-tortured women he thought were spies for the Black Panthers and was implicated in a shoot out between the Panthers and his group in a dispute over who would run the Black History department at UCLA (2 Panthers were killed). The original idea was to provide an alternative to what he thought was the "white" holiday, Christmas. His hateful, divisive message has since been repackaged to be more acceptable

This is done with a sense of humor. Eddy Murphy and a lot of black comics make fun of their own race, as well as whites and that is ok. It is more a comment on how some people act, as all stereotypes are about just some individuals in the group. I'm not racist, I have blacks in my family and I love them. My friends and I make fun of racist things. I think that is what this guy is doing, because racists are so stupid to think all people act one way. We need to laugh at ourselves and one another.

Eddie Murphy got away with playing an older Jewish man and an older Chinese man and it seemed ok. For that matter, he played a slightly altered (and more offensive) version of this same character in Norbit by the name of Rasputia. Where is the cry of racism there? I submit that the very people who are claiming racism against Chuck Knipp are just a racist themselves since they are claiming that a white man can't portray a black stereotype but it's okay for a black man to play another stereotype.

And Eddie may play Jewish caricatures, but they usually don't include such negative stereotypes that may lead to them being looked upon negatively - these images have lead to us being unfairly discriminated against, especially when people don't know blacks. And we've laughed off more shit than ANYONE, considering that we've been put down more than any other group - we've been VERY forgiving!

All satire comedy routines take something normal, and blow it way out of proportion to make it funny. I find a lot of the redneck stuff damn funny too, because I don't take it personally. I suggest you look up David Holthouse's article on Chuck Knipp. I also suggest you heap equal criticisms on people like The Wayans Brothers (White Girls anyone), Martin Lawrence (Big Mama, Shanaynay) etc.

We have spoken AGAINST the Rasputia character at my black website, although I am okay w/ Madea ...The difference is that Tyler's Madea was created to make US laugh, more blacks, can, actually relate to her. However, Rasputia is to make THEM (or YOU) laugh. Even if we laugh along, YOU are the target audience for laughs. Madea is an exaggeration, while Rasputia is a pure stereotype. I know some Madeas, but I don't know any Shirley Qs, or Rasputias. Look at how Shirley Q look - PURE blackface!

I never said anything about when it started. I simply asked if white people were going to have to atone for it for another 400 years (get it right).
