  • I'm 3 months old and this song tickles my weener in all the right places

  • @pnoozi okay the parakeet one was funny once you understand it, this is rather disturbing.

  • Sweet memories of biking and camping the summer of 1980 riding the 750 Honda with the breeze in my hair enjoying the view of Buttle Lake on Vancouver Island with this song blasting - Such freedom! This one really takes me there ! Thank God for the music of our lives.

  • if you don't understand, you haven't been on youtube that long.

  • Who doesn't like this song? It's fucking fantastic. A bottle of Chianti or Falanghina always puts me in the mood for this song.

  • How the hell does this have less than 500.000 views?!?!?!?!?!

  • This is probably his best song.

  • I am a black guy from the inner-city of Detroit. I never even heard of Billy Joel until some guy that I work with was playing the Stranger album, now I am completely fascinated by this guy. He is seriously a GENIUS!!!

  • This is probably the best song by the piano man himself!

  • This was the best song he ever did, not to mention the album (The Stranger - another great song).

  • brender and eddie lol

  • Thumbs up this comment if you want "Summer, Highland Falls" posted, It is probably my favorite song if you've never heard of it.

  • @BlackDeath17123 Yes, I love that song!

  • love billy jole!!

  • I Posted the lyrics so you can rock along with him.

  • Billy Joel rules! Fantastic. Thanks to you. Happy New year.

  • Green on Red for the title screen... my eyes.

  • This is Billy Joel's "Bohemian Rhapsody"

  • Billy Joel has always put out so many beautiful songs. He is the Piano Man! :-) I have always loved this song, the beautiful enchanting beginning, the rocking middle and the slow smooth ending. This song takes me back to days of my youth hanging out at the river with my friends and this story in this song reminds me of those teen nights I shared back then with so many super awesome songs from that time playing while we all laughed and dreamed the night away! What a time that was then! I miss it!

  • You feel like you are right there in the story line of this song. That is how good Billy Joel is. He invites you into his songs!! Cool song!! :D

  • @thepinkpopcornqueen Hi Amy! :-) I couldnt agree with you more on your comment. I always felt like I could be right in his story line of this song. Billy is that good, you are right! Totally awesome comment Amy! :-)

  • @thecarebearhideaway Thank you Laney!! But I have been humbled once again by your most sincere writing... Damn girl... you know how to put feelings into words. Go on with your bad self!! :D

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!

After hit Play it needs to be Repeat it... Again, again, again!!!!!

  • It does sound like Elton John!!!

  • twinkle fingers joel

  • A bottle of Roseanne.

  • This is a hell of a song, nice job, OP

  • Brender and Eddy.

  • @McBobthestickfigure That's what I always thought it sounded like, too. Funny that Billy Joel is American, but often it's British people who tend to stick r's between vowels.

  • i was in mobile alabama when i fell in love with this song

  • This song is about every highschool from Greenport to Far Rockaway. Ask any Long Islander born between 1946 and yesterday and he'll/she'll tell you the same. Btw, the restaurant in question was your basic Long Island Italian place, Christiano's in Syosset. Their pasta was ok (had the manicotti & red sauce) and their wine was actually really good (chianti classico). Salut.

  • Any other songs out there by Joel, or anyone, you want me to post?

  • @BlackDeath17123 If you could post the song "scenes from an italian restaurant" I would greatly appreciate it...I can't seem to find it anywhere on youtube and its my favorite song by him!

  • @Coolz444 I believe this is Scenes From an Italian Restaurant... If you mean another song, i will post it. otherwise your goal has been reached.

  • @Coolz444 ( -)_( -) Not sure if trolling, or just stupid

  • @CanadaEh1969 Not long after I posted that comment I took an arrow to the knee (*_*)

  • @Coolz444 fail dude fail

  • @aj1986917 /watch?v=uy6mGoWws_c

  • 10 people opted for Chinese Takeaway instead.

  • @thiefaura freakin' wanchai ferry.

  • I remember when I first heard this song. Up to 4:28 I thought it was fantastic. After that solo, this was something that would make Beethoven and John Lennon's child blush.

  • Rizzy..you are correct on the word 'appetite" sounding like Elton. Good catch!

  • just saw a sopranos episode, where this song was played throughout. love it

  • Listen to "it all depends upon your appetite." and the last word will sound exactly like Elton John if you have an ear

  • @Rizzy55 good catch. the two of them both make rockin' awesome music. LONG LIVE CLASSICS!

  • Who the hell dislikes this song?

    Idiots!!!

  • its more a story, than a song. When it's finished, you could listen to it again.

Like Counting Crows - Mrs Potter's Lullaby. Great song.

  • Great song and GREAT QUALITY,LIKE HOW DO YOU DO THIS????JUST FAR FUCKING OUT!!!YOU THE MAN BLACKDEATH!!!!!!!!!

  • @mike4asianwoman haha thanks. I uploaded the mp3 file from my itunes to an AAC or w/e to make it compatible with windows movie maker. I'm guessing the good quality is from the cd i got it from, which is from the library. All of my songs are like this so tell me if you have any requests.

  • Fantastico Billy, es un maestro..

  • i love the song it is so cool

  • I LOVE this song.

  • Bottle of red....

    In our Italian Restaurant.

  • @BlackDeath17123 I'm too indecisive.. I'll take both please

  • Easily one of the Greatest Compositions ever written...

  • Absolutely love this song. Whenever I'm thinking of my mum I play this song constantly. Well done BlackDeath17123, thank you

  • My all-time fav song by billy joel should play this in a italian restaurant anywhere

  • @MrPhist You have been misinformed!!! Jersey girls are nothing like Jersey Shore!!! The pigs on that show are from NY!!! Jersey girls are the best!!!

  • @jeffconmon Um... No. New York girls are not like that. Watch Jerseylicious. All from Jersey, just like the girls from Jersey Shore. DO NOT CRAP ON NEW YORK!

  • Learned the words to this song dating a Jersey girl over 20 years ago. Should of known for big hair jersey girls this road map is a r equirment. Marry, get the money and the check for the kids, then you've had it already. Great song, glad I'm not from Jersey where this bimbo sterotype is valid. Look at Jersey shore and plug them in the song lol

  • Im surprised this song any has 300k views. such a good song

  • I have The Stranger on vinyl!

  • @rhall4th Me, too.

  • @rhall4th lol hipster. jk i have it too

  • esta hermosa cancion me trae recuerdos maravillosos!!!

  • @elmau60 si, es un cancion magnifico.

Hablo espanol un poco, pero me gusta que tu disfrutas este cancion.

  • You know who else coul've done this great? Springsteen. But oh boy, Billy sounds so amazing...

  • @xxArgoz2xx The saxophone at 1:08 reminds me of the solo in Jungleland. Such a shame that Clarence Clemons died.

  • @GRNDSLMHTTR3 you got my point

  • @xxArgoz2xx and @GRNDSLMHTTR3 a friendship over the internet!

  • This song is most definetly a cautionary tale.

  • @michio2013 About drinking alcohol? Or getting married without knowing what you get into?

  • @michio2013 This song is actually three songs that he compiled into an epic song, the more you know

  • i just recently discovered this song, and I'm glad to have=)

  • maybe someone on here can help me :) is he and the girl he's talking to brenda and eddy? thats what i always thought, but my mom said no

  • @NYCgirl1221 I don't think so. Why would he be telling Brenda and Eddie their own story.

  • @meragan12487 Brenda and Eddy were high school sweethearts in Joel's class. He is then telling the story of what happened to them. 5:30 "Oh and that's all I heard about Brenda and Eddie, Can't tell you more 'cause I've told you already" This IS what happened.

  • @BlackDeath17123 Yeah, that was my point: That he was telling Brenda and Eddie's story to someone else.

  • Billy was the best...no questioning it...the 70's never die, they're just MIA, like today with alot of people listening to the "new" crap out there

  • We play this in my marching band!

  • Between 6.00 and 6.12 is still the part that sends a beautiful shiver at the back of my neck. Every. Single. Time.

  • Oh what a great song.

  • Another great Billy Joel song that did not get worn out on the radio.

  • Another great Billy Joel that did not get worn out on the radio.

  • I already posted Everybody Loves You Now. It should be the first suggestion on the top right of the video. I will try to keep you all informed.

  • I am certain that this is the most viewed Scenes From an Italian Restaurant video on youtube. I am proud to say that i posted this video. In November, i will post my fav songs from Cold Spring Harbor. After all, it is the 40th anniversary of the album. You Can Make me Free, She's Got a Way, Everybody Loves you Now, Why Judy Why, You Look so good to me and Tomorrow is Today. Six songs are in production.

  • @BlackDeath17123 do it up man

  • @BlackDeath17123

This video should have millions of views. Joel is much more talented than todays music.

  • like this if your a nooblett

  • @macca2539 Ohhhhhh! I'm using that

  • like this, if bentley sent you here!

  • My second favorite Billy Joel song.

  • The piano solo destroys my left arm when I try to play it on my piano.

  • Billy Joel was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1999

  • Ah man , I'm craving Speghetti in a dimly lit italian restaurant. With wine on the table , some garlic rolls , candlelight , and to top it off! Spumoni! Great vacation memories! Thanks for the music , Billy! ;)

  • i can play the solo at 2:48 on my keyboard

  • Damn Billy Joel did make it back in 1972 he asked me do you think I got what it takes to get to the top about the same time his music was playing on the Radio from there it was up

  • I had The Stranger on 8track when I was in my early teens. I would just let it play for hours and hours and every time this song came on I would have to stop what I was doing and listen

  • This song is around 30 years old, right? Has anybody got sick of hearing it yet? I listen to 'music' that is made today, like it for 1 month, then hate it. This stuff lasts forever.

  • @IntaLSM never. It's a classic.

  • @IntaLSM I'm 15, and your totally right.

  • @HykuGaming Me too. XD

  • Could you possibly put up "You Can Make Me Free" from Cold Spring Harbor? :)

  • @RockNRolla1996 alright, i will start working on a video, i'll put my favs from cold spring up. I'm thinking about uploading them in November, 40th anniversary of album. if that is cool with you.

  • @BlackDeath17123 That sounds excellent. Thanks a bunch

  • thank you for the song of this album, they really have helped me

  • 1:44 - 2:04 is my favorite.

  • best billy joel song ever!

  • Who could dislike this beautiful song? Good grief!

  • GIVE ME MY LIFE

  • Everytime I hear "I'll meet you anytime you want in our italian restaurant." a smile fills my face. I don't really know why but that one part just makes me happy. And then I say to myself "Okay, Bill, why not right now?"

  • Great song thanks for posting

  • Great job man.

  • It needs to be slowed down a tad, the song that is.

  • i love this song!! its so fun to sing and play on the piano

  • i could listen to this song all day.. (: LOVE IT.

  • Hearing this just makes me smile

  • Thumbs up if you know a Brenda and an Eddie!!!

  • Here's to Brenda and Eddie!!!

  • Best Billy Joel song I ever heard,,and this is my AllTime BILLY JOEL Favourite!!

  • ive listen to this song at least 15 times tonight it just keeps talking to me

  • 2:48-3:02 makes this entire song.

  • @GrlovesMA No, 0:00 - 7:38 makes this entire song :)

  • Too bad you never hear stuff like this on "classic" rock radio.

  • @north005 all i hear is that fucktard kanye west on the radio, might as well not get a radio in my next car

  • Who are those 4 people who do not understand nothing about music ??????

  • @MrRizzo97 4 french restaurants. they hate Italian restaurants.

  • @BlackDeath17123

    best.

    comment.

    ever.

  • @MrRizzo97 Who is that one person who doesn't understand anything about grammar?

  • @HuGGyBuNNy2 I'm italian and i have 10 years old

  • The Brenda and Eddie sequence would have worked well as a song on its own.

  • @RoyFive If I remember correctly from an old Billy Joel interview I read or watched, this song stems from what he originally wrote as "The Ballad of Brenda and Eddie" but it wasn't enough to be a stand alone song, so he wrote this.

  • I'm sure I'd get debated on this, but comparisons could be made with A Day In The Life, where neither John's piece nor Paul's would have worked by itself.

  • 4 people hate italian food.

  • Billy Joel, and Elton John, hands down are the Piano Gods, and song writing Gods!

  • @38sydsdad You Got That Right!!!

  • Joel's Voice has always been great as is his keyboard playing. Doug Stegmeyer pushed the envelope with his bass as did Liberty DeVito slaying his drum skins alive. But favourite parts are Billy Joel's Reed and Flute player - Richie Canata. An amazing tone shown to its fullness in this song. Thanks to all of you

  • 2:48

  • Him and Elton John were amazing together!!

  • what's so wild, is that not so long ago, they used to play this song on commercial radio!

  • Damn.. so many good's memories from the 70's, when i met my wife, and i still love her so much.

  • Incredible song, from an incredible artist. Happy belated birthday Mr. Joel. You're a truly, a living legend. Won't see one like you... EVER.

  • @ooosnapitssofiya You got that right!! I saw him in concert at The Omni in Atlanta back in 1984....What a concert!!

  • @eightiesguy62 your sooo lucky you got to see him in concert! I would really, love to see him in concert one day. Lucky guy :)

  • My favorite Billy Joel tune...a mini play all in one tune..."Brender (NY-speak for Brenda) and Eddie were still going steady in the summer of '75!"

  • This song is a secret pleasure. :) Don't tell any of my mates!

  • @clivetemple Why should they care? This song is amazing.

  • A great storytelling song by Billy. He was good at that, probably still is too.

The stranger was his best album, by far.

  • @Cheessa I agree, the Stranger is his best by far.

  • "Play somethin from the stranger"

"Sorry sir we only play scrictly 80's Joel"

this just made me think of step brothers

  • @moviemasters67 truly, the night before you posted this, Step Brothers was on.

    "Piano Man!"

"Take your skank hooker wife and get out of here!!"

  • @BlackDeath17123 hahahaha

  • @moviemasters67 wasnt this on the stranger? the stranger was the best of Billy Joel.

  • @Mrdianalynn this was on the stranger. he is quoting the famous movie "step brothers." in it a band, uptown girl, is southern california's premier joel music band or w/e plays strictly 80's joel.

yes, the stranger did save joel's career with columbia records. piano man, streetlife serenade, turnstiles, cold spring harbor, etc. were not big hits. then this rocked the radio's socks.

  • @Mrdianalynn It was a line from a movie but yeah its on the stranger i think

  • One of my favorites of his. Can picture sitting in an Italian outdoor cafe and enjoying the company of a loved one...

  • I love Billy Joels music ahh

  • This is like a bunch of different songs in one its so ahead of its genius

  • 2 people don't want a bottle of white, red, or rose`.

  • We all Fall Down, or Get Up Together

  • THE 70's OH!!!!!

  • i disrespect this video!!!!!!!

no but frealz, this song is great

  • Do you remember those days hanging out at the village green?

    Pepridge Farm remembers

  • @bad2dabone49 Pepperidge Farm makes goldfish, right?

  • @bad2dabone49-I died laughing hahaa

  • Beautiful music by a superb musician. His concert was perfect !

  • Some of the most well orchestrated pop music I've heard.
