A fine singer , his is the definitive Moon River, imo, his"A Weaver of Dreams" is a sadly overlooked song. Not Johnny Mathis, but the nearest the UK came to it.
I've always liked the music of Danny Williams...he only had one big hit in the US, "White On White", but i thought his albums were just wonderful and he deserved to be a much bigger artist than he was...had he come out 5 years sooner, his music would have been very popular...in the style of Johnny Mathis.
It's a shame the way he wound up, but he had a soothing and unique voice...I have most of his LPs.
I believe he lost out to the British invasion during that period. I wasn't a Beatles fan so I went to Motown. Surfing music was popular also at that time. I didn't care for that either.
Danny appeared in a couple of films around the same time as he recorded this song. One was "Play it Cool" with Billy Fury and the other "It's All Happening" with Tommy Steele. I wonder if his clips in either of them will ever appear here?
I agree why didn't he make it big his voice was amazing and I still remember him today! ???? In those times and days could be racist - however, seeing as my mum and dad bought this album for me with my first 'record player' - I doubt it! Danny Williams had a wonderful voice
Alas, it is not always those with beautiful voices who make it big. It is such a shame isn't it? I will always treasure the memories of this man's voice.
Best version of this great Mercer- Mancini songs...have a few of his albums...too bad he never made it big...he had a unique style in the same vein as Johnny Mathis, and just as different..
This is a heavenly beautiful song.

Worked with Danny many times over the years. He was a genuine nice guy and loved only to work.Mattered not the size of the venue or the envelope!
Saddly missed.
