  • This is a heavenly beautiful song.

  • @Thorneycroft1937 I have to agree with you.

  • A fine singer , his is the definitive Moon River, imo, his"A Weaver of Dreams" is a sadly overlooked song. Not Johnny Mathis, but the nearest the UK came to it.

  • What a lovely song. I have this vinyl. I also have a song called 'Pepicina'. Have you heard it?

  • @wasimsworld I don't recognise that one.

  • Can we have an upload of "a kind of loving" song (the B- side of "Wonderful world of the young")?!!!

  • hey folks....

anyone out there have " a kind of loving" you can share with us (B- side of "wonderful world of the young" single)?

  • I've always liked the music of Danny Williams...he only had one big hit in the US, "White On White", but i thought his albums were just wonderful and he deserved to be a much bigger artist than he was...had he come out 5 years sooner, his music would have been very popular...in the style of Johnny Mathis.

It's a shame the way he wound up, but he had a soothing and unique voice...I have most of his LPs.

  • Very nice version.

  • thanks for the comment,,,,,,,

they say if you remember the 60s you wernt there

your channel captures the1950s crossing into the 1960s,,,,,,,,,,,tom thumb,,, moon river,,,ect ,,truly incredible ,,,,

  • Many thanks for that. Yes, I'm pretty much ''58 to '62.

  • thats quiet all right,,,

the enchantment is all yours ,

no doubt,, fortunate you passed my way ,,

  • Reality shows & Simon Cowell take note.. THIS is what real talent is about. Sadly missed..

  • Just pure, clean - and beautiful - vocals.

  • Worked with Danny many times over the years. He was a genuine nice guy and loved only to work.Mattered not the size of the venue or the envelope!

    Saddly missed.

    Chris Tucker

    PS:Worked with Bazil Brush too....

Well that's to say George Martin & David Nixon!

  • I'm impressed!!! Sounds like Mr Williams was one of the good guys.

  • Yes he sure was.A really nice guy.But South African not English for the record

  • I believe he lost out to the British invasion during that period. I wasn't a Beatles fan so I went to Motown. Surfing music was popular also at that time. I didn't care for that either.

  • Danny appeared in a couple of films around the same time as he recorded this song. One was "Play it Cool" with Billy Fury and the other "It's All Happening" with Tommy Steele. I wonder if his clips in either of them will ever appear here?

  • Love it ! Nice version. Thanks for posting.

  • Thanks for listening. A beautiful version of a beautiful song.

  • ye s he did sable ...what a shame abbe hes so wonderful!!!!!!

  • i like this song ....cool

surprised he never made it big...thnx for the posting..babs

  • I agree why didn't he make it big his voice was amazing and I still remember him today! ???? In those times and days could be racist - however, seeing as my mum and dad bought this album for me with my first 'record player' - I doubt it! Danny Williams had a wonderful voice

  • Alas, it is not always those with beautiful voices who make it big. It is such a shame isn't it? I will always treasure the memories of this man's voice.

  • Best version of this great Mercer- Mancini songs...have a few of his albums...too bad he never made it big...he had a unique style in the same vein as Johnny Mathis, and just as different..

    A great artist.

  • Thanks for the comment, you're obviously a bit of a fan. It's a beautiful version.

  • Would love to hear "My Doreene" if you have it...it's one of his very best! Thank You!!!!

  • Sorry, not one I have.
