  • Awesome simulation, but how do you get the glowing lines as the border for the first few and the nice looking glass box for the last one? I'm new to blender and can only manage a semi-transparent box that doesn't let light through. :P

  • render+bake time:... about a month XD

  • 13 people spent $4000 for a one year Maya license.

  • you should make 2012 shit

  • beautiful! i love it

  • Okay.. let me make it clear to you.. If you see white fluid splash around and you instantly is thinking ''CUM'' or ''SPERM''

    .. you're kinda gay...

  • milk

  • You have got 8gb RAM! For "only" 500 res I need 2gb (I've got 4gb)

  • White stuff splashing around o_O

  • there is alot of rener time in even just 1:04 alot of people don't respect the simple 10 seconds of animation you get back from alot of work and time. well done.

  • what the fuck am i watching

  • this is why they use tubes with paste for food is space

  • Brilliant work there! Best Blender fluid sim I have seen to date!

  • enjoying the video then BLAM ad blocks half the screen ruins the moment and i rage quit youtube .

  • nice job

  • what happens when two terrorist water droplets crash into each other? Adam Sandler stars in WATER BOMBERS: THE MOVIE

  • 0:06 EPIC CUMSHOT!

  • Comment removed

  • How its calculate?

    Do you use some engine?

  • but will it blend?

  • + gravity ;)

  • i think i'm in that weird part of youtube again...

  • Que Inception music..

  • F*cking ADD ARE BULL SH*T

  • @couvidan

    install a d block and you're done ;)

  • Please! tuturial!

  • Tutorial Please!!!!!!!

  • man i need to learn to use this program lmao i got no clue no matter how much i play with it.

  • Dude your computer is beast! :D how long did it take to render the first animation and what rez did u use?

  • 1024 res = max on blender... ~100GB!! O_O!

  • @NionsChannel

where can i download this program and ,most important , is it free ? :3

  • @zocazoey

    blender(dot)org

It is absolutely free and awesome! ;)

  • @NionsChannel not to mention, this video was put up in the middle of '09! they've kept updating it.

  • @zocazoey its pretty hard to get going if you're a beginner but there are a wide range of tutorials on youtube. Also Andrew Price @ blenderguru(dot)com can get you from noob to pro in about a week

  • 0:30 Oh no! I dropped my yougurt!

  • how did you get the fluid to slow mo?

  • 1024 res? HAAAAAAAAAAAXXXXXXXXXXX

  • i'm in this strange part of youtube again.

  • do you have ANY idea how long that would take on my CPU?!

    (then again, it's a laptop)

  • How did you get 1024 res without your computer going BOOM!

  • milk in zero g?

  • OMG, that is amazing! I can´t get more than 170 res :( If I try a higher res Blender crashes :/

  • Blood in video games needs to be like this, thumbs for agreement

  • sperm overloAD!!!

  • Hey Nion, I replicated the scene at 0:18 and everything was working fine, except I do not know how to keep the centre sphere immobile. If you could reply that would be great.

  • @jerrysmcnuggets no gravity

  • @NionsChannel Thanks.

  • pancakes

  • You killer!!!!! You can't kill the sweet spheres!!!

    It lives!!

  • Comment removed

  • That looked sick! But the question at hand is, will it blend?

  • You are amazing!!

  • it's like tron :D

  • 0:47 condom full of semen..

  • I hope you dont mind me asking but where do you get 62 gigs of ram for that kind of simulating

  • Want some milk?

  • @Baldoxxx4000

SHUT THE HELL UP AND STOP REFERRING TO SEX!!!!!! NOBODY IS GOING TO GO TO YOUR WEBSITES WHERE YOU "CAN SEE ME LIVE ON WEBCAM" SO JUST STFU!!!!!!!

  • @IceCubster

    SHUT UP!!!

  • I'll just go to space, The simulation will be more realistic and run faster :P

  • well im doing something like that right now 2 globs of water in zero gravity but i can only do 250 res :(

  • =o

  • Well made, well rendered, WELL DONE!

  • Massive cumshots here...

  • how long time did it take to render it

  • This is so dramatic.

  • What the.... I have 16 gb of ram and I am currently baking a 465 res one that says 8.4 gb needed but is using 15.6 gbs of ram. Hpw much ram did you have to use for this?

  • @TechnoStickmen when is says 8.4 gb is it talking abt ram or disk space?

  • @C4Dchallenge It was the ram

  • AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • my comp has four 2.watever gigga hertz procces and runs very slow even baking at 200 resouluton im no sure but this seems illogical. how does i set so it will use all of my four moist process!?

  • @picaticatara You can't just have a 32gigahert processor and expect to bake at high res. You need ram as well as a fast graphics card.

  • So simple but soo beautiful

  • Only in Time Warp, on Discovery Channel.

    Like the simulation ;)

  • Very high detail. What rig you got to bake these simulations? I struggle to get anything above 100, and I run out of memory over about 200

  • You should see my blender sim :D

  • Very cool physics test. Could be sped up a little bit. Kinda looks like its on the moon.

  • wouldnt call that high tess at all

  • @Capeau tess? you mean res?

  • @Capeau Res* And he doesn't mean the kind of resolution you're probably thinking about. He meant the resolution he baked the liquids at in render.

  • @BrenAGC

no i know exactly what resolution he is talking about (not pixels, i know)

  • @Capeau Ah. Well it looks high res to me, especially since he chose to keep the liquid opaque. Even low res liquids look much more realistic at low res because we associate realism and quality with with water, if he chose to make the liquid transparent it would look incredible.

  • @BrenAGC

you know, that doesnt make any sense ^^

  • @Capeau It does, you just either didn't put enough effort into understanding or you're not entirely capable of it :P.

  • @BrenAGC

    ok then

  • @BrenAGC

ok then, if you say so kid

  • @Capeau You commented twice, and added an "if you say so kid". Not sure if you realized.

  • I really liked the last one :)

  • I really liked the last one :)

  • it looks pretty, but something about it still looks fake. cant quite put my finger on it.

  • yay, sperm :D

  • this looks really cool!

how did u make the droplets move in different directions?

  • Blender sucks, this isn't realistic at all.

  • @nordahl154 It's meant to be unrealistic; it's slow-motion and zero gravity...

  • @nordahl154: U suck...

  • Man fluid.

  • 1024 res O.O

  • ok. You do not need over 2 gigs to make something similar to this... Just select the default cube, change the X to 20, change the Y and Z to 10, you can put the resolution up to 500 with it only being 200-300megs. To make Fluid Simulations at high resolution and do not require a lot of space, simply have the X or Y Coords double-tripple the rest.

  • that works!

    any idea why it works?

  • Another thing is this.... your graphics card DOES NOT effect how long it takes to bake and render, thats the job of the proccessor and RAM....

  • How good computer do you need to bake 1024 res fluid? With default size cube it says:

Req. BAKE Mem.: 92.2 GB :0

    I have:

    Windows 7 32-Bit

    Pentium Dual-Core E5200 2.50Ghz

    3072 RAM

    Nvidia GeForce 9400 GT

I cannot even bake 200res fluid with default size cube.. weird.. Perhaps my video card is too bad.. or something. If anyone can help me, please.

  • Well I have the same card in a dual core win xp. Then i can't do many things. actually i work with a pc: processo intel core i7 8gb ram memory win xp 64 bits and two nvidia GeForce 9400 gt 1gb each (conected Crossfire sistem) mainboar is intel DX58So it has two pci express for two graphic card.

  • Blender only renders using CPU only so all you need is a decent CPU and a decent amount of RAM things like the GPU dont matter

  • @Gr8rThenU uhm blender can't render on GPUs.

  • wow. how did u animate or control the fluid??

  • im sure there is a point where adding extra resolution becomes useless, where you are unable to tell the difference between a lower one. 1024 is pointless

  • 1024 :D

omg!!! that takes long time to render and bake xD

    5/5 for res

  • you need to increase the simulation time for a 'realtime' flow

on the domain for the 'time' setting, on the end time, a good setting is .1 per second of video

  • I didn't want it to be realtime.

  • @coreysuffield You can appreciate the finer details in slow motion, realtime and you would miss some of it.

  • NionsChannel, how do you

    illuminate the cube vertex ?

  • Wire Material + Composite Nodes

  • this is a great video and must of taken ages to render and bake but i think you should increase the fps to about 50ish to make it look more realistic

  • i love these vids but i hate living through not knowing how to make these things

  • A simple fluid animation is surprisingly easy to set up in Blender. There are lots of tutorials for it on YouTube. Watch a few until you understand it then give it a whirl. Or should that be splash.

Just be prepared for loooooong bake and render times if you set it to a high resolution.

  • wow and mine crashes after 980 to bad for me XD

  • 1024?!! My poot crashes out at anything over 150...time to get a RAM upgrade I think...a gig ain't enough, clearly.

  • how do you guys make these simulations?

  • i have athlon x2 6000+ and iv been t o that rez :D but im too impacient to wait 40 weeks for a 10 second video render of a fluid :D

  • dude can you make a tutorial on how to control water. cause it does what i want it to.

  • thats crazy...how did u hit 1024 resolution..haha the hiest i can go is 250-300 or so...without a crash..using a q6600

  • I had the same problem with my old pc. But since I have a q9550 and 4 gig ram it doesn't seem to be a problem anymore. But I don't know for sure, if it is because of the hardware or a software update.

  • Btw. 1024 is the highest resolution you can pick, no matter what pc you have.

  • it kinda stinks though, that the simulation is not really particles, unlike realflow and some other fluid sim. programs. This is because it doesn't really look different then something that is 200 res. At least in my perspective. That is pretty neat though.

  • I totally agree. A particle based fluid simulation would look better and your simulation wouldn't be limited to a small cube, too.

  • i have also q9550 and 4 gb RAM and GTX 260 but if the req bake memory goes higher than 500 mb blender crashes saying RUNTIME ERROR abnormal program termination is it from the software ?

  • I don't know

  • same here

  • @blaablaakas update your driver (all drivers, graphics , OS, and so on...) .... then see how that goes...

  • @blaablaakas

It's because you maxed out BLENDER. If you're using a 32bit BLENDER on a 32 bit system, (Which idk if you are) you cant go higher than a 400mb render.

And sorry for commenting on your ten month comment.

  • I have a question. Whenever I use the fluid simulation. It always, always turns into a cube. The water is working just fine, just that the water always is inside I cube. I have tried with Inflow and outflow. Nothing helped. And I have tried with a cylinder as well. But still it always shapes after the look of a cube. How do I change this? So the water can run ''Freely''?

  • Your fluid domain is some kind of limitation where fluid calculations are possible in the first place, because the fluid algorithm needs a fixed grid. You can't change that the domain has a cube shape, but you can add fluid obstacles inside the domain, if you want containers with an other shape.

  • Ah thank you :). I'll try that out right away.

  • Nice sims dude

  • TUTORIAL PLEASE.SOO COOL

  • Thanks a lot for your enthusiasm, but that are just fluid simulations. There are already a bunch of tutorials for that.

But I already have some nice ideas for my next tutorials. So, stay tuned!

  • wow great job

  • Thanks for sharing. That was awesome.!!!
