I don't know how fast the GN was, but I can say a Pontiac GTP (same engine, only super not turbo)can run a high 11 sec quarter... front wheel drive... STRAIGHT FACTORY BONE STOCK!!! Is that 231 a great motor or what!!!

My son has a 2000 Daytona 500 edition GTP 2 door and no way does it run 11's...he wishes. We live in AZ and his runs low 14's to high 13's and he has CAI and a couple of small other bolt on's. On the other hand I have a 1985 GN with a 87 motor and trans and my GN runs high 11's.

Eh Regal's are a LOT more rare than GN's. Only made 1910 in 86' I believe. If you're planning on reselling your Buick, get a Regal, if not, go for a Grand National.

Impossible their is no such thing as a GN with a V8 because the second you pop in that 8, you're stripping the GN title from it.

I say stick with the V6 or the stage 2 4.1 which happens to be my personal choice :D
