  • i don't know if people know this, but when you cut on that plexiglass mat, you totally ruin your blade. you should always use a dedicated cutting mat. by that i mean the soft white or thin green or gray mats.

  • @saintben2008 Cutting on a glass mat instead of a self-healing mat dulls the edge of the blade slightly faster. It also provides a much cleaner cut and exact when cutting with paper while requiring less effort. Since I only use cheap disposable blades when crafting, it is worth it to me to change them a less more for the accuracy and ease of use a glass mat provides.

  • I love this layout, I really don't mind all the "fussing" needed to do it. thanks for sharing.

  • very nice and creative:)

  • This is very very very creative. I absolutely love it!!!

  • in the very begging, how did u make the paper. and by that i mean how did u get those tiny dots on there and what kind of glitter, powder, or what ever that stuff was did u use?

  • @sponge1abc The polka dots are an acrylic stamp from Hot Off the Press. I stamped them in Versamark Watermark Ink & then sprinkled them with white embossing powder and heat set it. Thanks for watching!

  • loved ur background dots and ur cutout circles. KCB xoxo

  • I thought this page turned out so well, I loved walking thru it to see it from beginning to end, Great job?

  • Where did you get your adhesive "gun"?

  • The adhesive applicator I use is the 3M Scotch ATG 700 and I got it online from a store called "Framing Supplies". YouTube doesn't allow links in the comment area, but if you google "framing supplies" it should come right up. The adhesive I use in it is the Scotch 908 Gold {acid free} and I buy it in the 1/2" width and 60 yard length.

  • Great Job!

  • love how you placed the lettering. i never thought of folding my glue dots! i always cut them in half to make them smaller and end up making a mess! good tip.

  • So nice,! Love it, thank you,!

  • Thanks for watching ~ I'm so glad you enjoyed it!

  • i luv the way u did your title......... i would like to do something similar... so i was wondering, do u have any ideas on how to do a title like that using a 6-letter word?

  • Sorry it took so long to get back to you! I didn't really have a plan for this title ~ I just pushed the letters around and turned them around until they looked right. Maybe if you did one letter on the first line, two letters on the second line and three letters on the third line, that would work? So sorry I missed this comment before!

  • i luv how u did the title ...... i just might have to steal that idea if its k with u

  • Wow, don't you wish you could really scrap that fast? ; ) Great layout! Thanks for sharing!

  • Wouldn't that be awesome!? The reality is that it took me three separate scrapping sessions over two days to finish this layout. (Did you notice my wardrobe changes?) Thanks for watching -- I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • it kinda looks like cheese

  • Ha ha -- yes, we can call it the "swiss cheese" layout!

  • I love the layout, and all your videos. How do you choose the colors? do you work with a scketch? Thanks for sharing

  • Thank you very much! I usually choose one color to be a strong presence and the other colors flow from that. For this layout, I knew I wanted bright pink to be part of the layout and so I chose some paper scraps that included bright pink. One of those scraps also included orange and blue, so that's how I chose the orange flower and blue ribbon. I don't usually work with sketches, although I have used them from time to time. Usually I just push things around the page until they look right to me.

  • Great page !

  • Thanks so much -- I'm glad you enjoyed it!

  • Great layout. I love the polka dots!! Again, I love the simplicity that turns into elegance. Brenda

  • Thank you very much -- I truly appreciate it! I was very happy with how this page turned out, despite all my struggles.

  • love the polka dot! awesome STAMP&layout!

    xxnadia

  • Thank you so much! The polka dot stamp is from the Hot Off the Press "Bold Patterns" acrylic stamp set.

  • o.O is it like the kind PapertreyInk polka dot basic ?

  • Yes, there is a stamp in the Papertrey Ink "Polka Dot Basics" set that is very similar, and which would give you the same look!
