This is how freaking amazing Stan Getz is! He takes a tune and plays it at the fastest recorded tempo in jazz history and play perfectly articulated improvisations, perfectly phrased lines, and adds his uncanny gift of melodic perfection to bebop!
I'll say it again....no one can ever touch Stan Getz. Pure genius!
@sirweinerman i can't remember exactly, I'm sure you can google it. just figuring it out it's at least 360. In other words, there's at least six notes you can fit into each beat if the quarter note was at 60BPM.
Mind boggingly fast!
What's even more impressive was the Stan is probably the most melodically inventive jazz musician ever. Maybe except for Lenny Tristano!

the tempo is not 360...it's closer to 300..still PLENTY FAST!!!
