I watched without listening and got an entirely different idea of what the song was about! I think maybe it was English and not so much ASL. For example, "here's a toast to all those who hear me all too well," I think that means "Here's a toast to everyone who really understands what I'm saying." Not literally to people who can hear you well. However your expressions are really wonderful!
The "hand to the ear" is refer to listen. The sign for hear would require the thumb and two other fingers. A group of NTID students watched this video and explained the result that they understood what the song mean. After all, sometime people out there who are deaf have their different sign to understand. With this video, I use my lip for hearing impaired support if it was necessary. Thanks for your statement :)
your videos are amazing..

Hey Charlie,
I feel like deeper interpreting can be done too. I think its a great translation of the song... But not my favorite INTERPRETATION.
I got the meaning, but at a basic level.
I am curious, who looked at the video?
ASL/PSE... whatever. It was musical and nice... Just think more could be done.
(Hope you are enjoying this warm weather! Nice and warm yeah?!)

Thank you, Charlie, your interpretations are always so emotional, your expressions breathe life into the song.
