Not sure if that lady was your wife or just someone on the pier but she looked like she was allready cooking them up in her head. I do that alot but I try to wait till they are in the boat. If you start thinking about recipes before a fish is landed you always seem yo loose it.

We eat alot of mullet this time of year on the west coast of Florida. We smoke them and eat them plain or make fish spread out of them. Fried them before but better smoked. Sometimes i'll smoke up the row. Taste kinda like gritts. Some people eat the sperm but I refuse to put sperm in my mouth.

i dont even coil mine lol im big enough with long enough arms i throw a 6ft radius 12foot full across by just holding the ring and grabing the lead line twice thats it, even throw it off the pier that way lol lol but im the lucky few long enough to clear the rail lol.

Save a lot of time and put the net in the bucket then remove the catch.

The way he loads the net is weird and kinda wrong for throwing on the docks. He should make more coils. I throw a 9 foot chain and a 12 foot bait net. But I give the guy credit he got it over and caught fish. I just got done fishing with my nets I didnt have that kinda luck. Water was to shallow and I was throwing off a john boat.

Well here in florida they do the locals smoke them and we prepare them like eggroll, it depends on the school you throw at it don't expect to get consistent numbers everytime you throw. sure use a bigger net to catch more fish, big or small it doesn't matter its the skill that gets the fish for a guy who stands 5'6 your range will be limited, consider The Lenght and Weight of the net for accurate and consistent throw.

First of all I have never seen anyone eat finger mullet. Second it is not hard to catch 20 in a 10' net, that is actually pretty bad.
