Mario Kart 7 - Blue Shell dodge (with a Mushroom)

There should be a online mode with NO ITEMS AT ALL. I wont be buying this game just because they still havent put in the option to remove them. The average skilled players always win because there always getting all the good items while there right on your ass and your just trying to stay ahead with a fucking banana

You can join or create communities with custom settings in Mario Kart 7. this includes turning items off.

Bad ass man. Thanks for the hint. I use to dodge blue shells about 20% of the time in Double Dash but could never do it again in other Mario Kart versions.

@FireFox2000000 nope. tried it. only mushrooms and sometimes the jump boost can save you.

@AlbatrossOnFire I agree. I don't think it's fair for somebody in last place to decide wheter or not I get in first place, I'm okay with everything else like red shells because you can easily block them with a banana, but blue shells are just annoying

In this game, the blue shell is even more dangerous. It can now hit other players besides the leader.

I wonder if this is a returning glitch, or actually intended? (As in, perhaps the "striking motion" of the blue shell has it diving directly downwards, stopping the tracking of its target - still quick enough to hit normally, but when using this trick, the area of effect is narrowly escaped?)

I got my first blue shell dodge with a mushroom just now on Kalamari Desert. It felt amazing.

If there was any logic to this game, you'd be able to avoid the shell using the Tanooki Tail. And if there was any balance, Blue Shells wouldn't be awarded to anyone unless the guy in first was at least 5 seconds ahead of second place, 10 seconds preferably. Until that point, it's easy enough for other shells to do the job of letting other people catch up, without utterly ruining the experience for anyone who's actually bothered to learn the tracks properly.

@ElmntNinja Mario Kart Super Circuit had the best Blue Shell. It was so good, I didn't even know it was in the game until once I found myself in last place and happened to receive it. Nowadays it's awarded to the CPU at least once during a race, sometimes more than once in the same lap!
