The 31.8 cube 35 OMC might be a old deflector, but look at the numbers, 3" inch bore, 2 1/4" inch stroke, man thats got race motor allllllll over it ! Only weak link is the thin water jackets that cause overheating problums with a filler block and pipes. The cure for that is a water pump lower unit. Merc Quicksilver or Hot Rod. Should have my 35 ready by spring. Hope to hit the AOF race in Feb/ Mar at Lake Placid Fl. with the 35 There is a combo AOF/ NBRA race in Alex La. Oct 9/10 - 2010

We run Mod. Yamato in C Mod as well. But we have been toying around with the 35 OMC as of late though. And things are looking good. :)

One poor old 40 cube merc, working on 50 years old that STILL can't be beat by the best the Japs have to offer --- Now it's time to work on the 302 Yamatos in CMH/ CMR . Lets get them jap motors off the water . Keep a eye out for the guys now working on the 35 OMC twin --- we are coming ! go U S A !
