And the Dad and his son, remember that bit.. and so very well.. just like you say !!!

That was brillant brought back alot of lovely memories thank you. Can anyone remember the video on the end of the film where a kid was singing about his dad or maybe his mum that was also good.
Yeah that was 'Seaside Woman' that's on you tube too somewhere! There was also one at the end of the video called 'The Oriental Nightfish' which scared the crap out of me as a child!
If Paul McCartney, or indeed anyone else, ever makes a sequel, I hope the frogs remember Rupert. That was a major element in the original Rupert mythos, that kindness tended to be remembered.
it sounds like alot of other people were just as scared of this as i was but it didnt matter how much it scared the shit out of us we would still watch it till it would start chewing it self up i think we were a scared generation
Thats excellent! I had forgotten the cartoon that goes with the song "We all stand together" I think Paul McCartneys intro came at the start when he went into the attic and told us the story of it! I had the ladybird book and record which we in my family all loved! Thanks for the memories!
I loved this years ago when my little brother used to watch this then my two eldest used to watch it at Nanna's house in England. Now I can show my grandson, here in Brisvegas!
My dad who was a massive beetles fan used to make me sit through this when I was 2. That fucking creepy owl with the red eyes scared the shit out of me. I always used to run out of the room when it flies toward the camera at the finale.
does anyone else get a strange sad feeling when they close the door at the end, that you can't join them and their lives? maybe just part of first watching it when you're very young.
had it on vhs with another song like 'seaside woman' or something which i loved too, although i'm only 18 these are childhood memories for me as we've never had tv i was raised on 50s and 60s vhs
thankyou for bringing back memories from when i was about 6 or 7. i used to sit in bed and watch the video with my rupert the bear about 6 times a day. good times!!
I made my mother sit through this about 8 times a day as a child, the poor woman. I've just watched the whole thing for the first time in about 18 years and it made me cry as it all came flooding back. What a beautiful cartoon for a child to enjoy! Thanks very much for posting it. xxxx
wow!! i remeber this video... i saw this here in mexico few years ago and i love it, now i can share with my nices and nephews...thanks raVeNgRL.. we all stand together
Wee I finally found this! I've had memories from this song and video since I was a kid!! but I never knew what song it was I just knew the boomp boomp part xD and I remembered the bear and the frogs!! WEEE LOVE!
Yeah I remember watching this as a kid too. Fantastic stuff! And I remember the other 2 videos, "Seaside Woman" and the wierd "Oriental Nightfish". Brilliant!
I never saw the 2 cartoons... yet I saw the "Tuesday"(I really liked the Tuesday cartoon it didn't have much dialouge & it was a very nice fun relaxing cartoon. Cameo voice app. by: David Letterman/Dustin Hoffman in the cartoon.) & the 1 w/ Wirrel the Squierl(there's even a kid's book.) & of course this 1 in the music & animation collection dvd Davidxela.
I watched this on video so many times as a kid... If I remember correctly, there were two more animations after it. One was about an Africn woman and her fisherman husband (this is very vague lol) and the other one was a slightly trippy video type thing which I can't remember much about except for the sillhouette of a naked woman. I was a kid. lol
Oh my god! I had this on video and ithas bought back so many memories! Has anyone got a copy of the oreintal nigthfish which linda wrote which wa on after this and also saeside woman? The whole thing was classic. Have put on favourites, thank you for posting!
well done on this, it had been erased from my memory by many years of abusing my mind with toxic material and substances. Thanks for the magical flashback.
Every time I see the owl I can't help but think 'Jareth' aha

My border collie was named Rupert. We used to call him like that. When we played the video for him, he got really confused.
