i love how in the film, when it shows the future war, the simplest things get used and show us what life is like in the future. nowadays, cgi gets used excessively in films and ruins the aspect of films. if film-makers look at the future war scene, they can at least use the basis of the scene and make films more better

I got excited when I saw your reply, but that's not what I was thinking of. The song is what was actually playing on the radio when he was hotwiring the car by the construction yard. It's definitely a real song because I remember seeing it on a Nickelodeon show with some kids breaking to it back in the day. I can't find a video on here with the song in it though.

James Cameron was asked about making another Terminator . But he said hes moved on since then which i can see his point it was made in 1984 and where in 2010 he has new fresh ideas with new films no point hanging onto an old franchise forever . Terminator should have stopped with 2 unless they were A. made with cameron and B. Prequals with events leading up to the first films thats all that neeeded.

I think make a story that ignores 3 and 4 and takes place prior to The Terminator and shows how John Connor won the war, when the 1st Terminator and Kyle were sent back in time, and when the 2nd Terminator and the T-1000 were sent back, and how it led to all that. And most of all make one that is exactly like the war scenes like Cameron showed us in T1 and T2. That's why I'm writing my own story that keeps the spirit of T1 and 2 without ruining it like 3 and Salvation did.

One of the reasons salvation failed was becouse it followed after T3 , It should have been just a straight up prequal to 1 and 2 following the events of that future . I honestly belieave nothing happened after T2 they stopped judgment day end of , It will never stop to amaze me that a film made in 1984 with a low budget can beat a million dollar budget . MCG gave us all big hopes for terminator salvation only for it to suck aswell , seriously just leave the series alone now.

@IronHideFXH Yes I agree. Salvation was bad for two reasons, 1 because it followed T3, and 2 because it didn't match the war scenes from T1 and T2. That's why I'm writing my own story, and I'm not going to ruin it by making it with my own vision like McG I want to do it like Cameron's vision. My story will make people forget 3 and 4.

We do know that they won the war in July 2029. This was said in the first 2 movies. Reese says he came back from 2029, and he mentions that their defense grid was smashed, "we'd won".

The T2 script tells more, it goes through showing SKYNET's defeat and then John sends Reese and T-800 back in time.

@snake2006 That is yet to come - in Terminator Salvation, humanity isn't quite as desperate to survive yet. Terminator Salvation takes place in 2018, whereas Kyle's flashbacks take place in 2029.

Yes, but according to Reese it was John who created the resistance, who taught the people to fight.All thanks to his training as a child. Yet in Salvation we have Micheal Ironside with a stupid ass goatee leading the resistance, then and a M Bison rip off in a sub.

I want to see the real Judgement Day from August 1997 to 2029. Not a alternate timeline, the original timeline that T1 and first part of T2 had already set up.

cool as they looked, i don't see why he even needed the shades the seconed time round, at least in the first film there was a logical reason for wearing the shades, he needed a way to conceal the gaping hole in his face without further impeading his vision, i can understand that perfectly given the Terminators coldly logical way of thinking,(Conner must've put a sense of fassion into him for kiks) common sense really. ps loved the self repair bits, i cringed the first time i saw the eyeball bit!

i definately think T1 was better than T2. it was gripping especially the way Arnold was tracking down sarah connor using the phonebook..ingenious! also he was mean and cold unlike the T800 at beginning of T2 when he fgoes in the bar and injures them bikers! come on! the T800 in T1 would have killed everyone in the bar and then put the sunglasses on ;)

Well The T800 in Terminator had only 1 objective kill Sarah Connor . So its motivation was hinged on that one objective so he let nothing get in the way .

In T2 the T800 only objective was to ensure the survival of John connor he didnt need to kill them bikers he only wanted to commondeer a veichle and aqcuire clothes.
