  • can u upload the first episode

  • Show may have just been OK but I've seen the whole series and continue to watch for one simple reason, with those cuffs and belt alone this may be the coolest looking Spider-Man. Even when compared to the awesome Metal suit.

  • The great ting about the 70's was that tv was not afraid to take risks, whether with shows like this, or sitcoms like "All in the Family" etc...

  • Lol his eyes... *face palm*

  • almost famous at :53 seconds in window

  • PBS electric company spiderman

  • @JENDALL714 I don't know what generation you are from, only the reason why this looks different from CGI is because this was made long before they ever had CGI & they either used an actor or stunt double to perform this stunt. I also imagine this was done with a harness shot where they hook up the actor or stunt double to cables that pull them up into the air. They did a lot of stunts different from the way they do stunts now days.

  • @JENDALL714 One last thing I wanted to suggest to you was, I don't know if you ever saw The Greatest American Hero, but if you ever get a chance to get the dvd check it out! Because there's a lot of stunts done in that series that they would never do today because it'd be considered too risky!

  • i refused to watch this and the incredible hulk, pure crap

  • For us old folks....This was the Spider-man show we grew up watching..But to be honest even back then i tohught it was kinda stoopid and very cheesy to have his web-slingers on the outside of his costume ^^

  • 0:53

    Who is this asshole ?

  • Even the japanese Spider-Man is better than this piece of trash.

  • Since when did Spiderman wear a wrist strap that shoots the web?

  • @RCDawg85 He always did in the comics. Conceled with a glove, but always wore them.

  • @JojoChampion - what's the point of that though? I thought shooting web from his wrists was supposed to be one of his special "powers"?

  • wtf is this bullshit??

  • all old tv shows have jazz music

  • @TheGameGuildreviews I think you mean "funk" but I get your point lol!

  • @nigahiga yah, I guess!

  • i hope they call the new show Amazing-er spider man lol

  • The dude who plays Peter Parker looks insanely like the design from the 90's cartoon.

  • WINE ,CANDLES,AND THIS THEME SONG.

    DROPS THE PANTIES EVERYTIME

  • :47 secs Im coming MJ hang on!!!

  • hmmm..

I remember this show being alot cooler than this.

  • main actor looks like peter parker fro 1994 spider man cartoon

  • @Beogen This was who that character was designed after.

  • Xxbellamyxxx I agree

  • I feel sorry for the spider-man fans who didint have the oportunity to see de new movies. And... watch this.

  • This soundtrack wouldn't sound misplaced in a porn movie :P

  • Actually, the first live action Spiderman was on PBS's The Electric Company. He Hung around there (pun intended) for 5 years before this series was shown (for about three months).

  • @nozcr "Spider-Man, where are you comin' from Spider-Man, nobody knows who you are"

  • @cha5 Bwooink. Bwoop. (Read the word bubble).

  • Sounds like 70's porn music

  • this was a cool show back when I was a kid! You've gotta admit...it was awesome for it's time!

  • IF YOU ARE OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER THIS SHOW IN IT'S FIRST RUN,I'M 48,GIVE ME A HOLLA BACK..SO IF YOU WERE NOT ALIVE AS OF LET'S SAY 1973 OR EARLIER,YOU SHOULD NOT BE OLD ENOUGH TO REMEMBER WHEN IT'S ORIGINAL SHOWS RAN FROM 1977 TO 1979..NO FAKERS PLEASE.

  • @MrTrackfreek I remember it well my friend.

  • @MrTrackfreek I was watching this show back then...

  • jazz music for a super hero..... fitting.

  • 0:56 -- It's Suicide Man!

  • The days when you hoped a spider would bite you. :)

  • Sorry Marvel, but when it comes to '77 Spidey, Japan wins.

  • ummm, something bothers me, why they picked the oldest actors they could find for this kind of series, peter was supposed to be a young reporter... jameson was the old man

  • a grown ass man playing spider man

  • @MegaKid2fly He was the same age as Tobey Maguire when he started playing Spider-Man and a year younger than Andrew Garfield when he got cast.

  • Gotta love that '70s wakka-choo music.

Also: Daaaang, you're pretty sexy for someone named "Chip."

  • This shit is funky

  • The Hulk was a fave too!

  • I remember watching this series, and always feeling like Spidey could've been better. I still found it entertaining though. I was just a child. But, between this, Wonder Woman, Isis, Shazam, Batman reruns, and bionic heroes, I was in superhero heaven. However, at the end of the day, Wonder Woman was still my fave.

  • It's still better then spider man 3 I say

  • @darkastonvillafan Hahahaha, You're right!

  • 0:02 WTF WAS THAT???!!! =DDD

  • my god the 60's and 70's had such AWFUL taste in entertainment.

  • @xxMisterJxx -_-

  • @xxMisterJxx Today is that much better dude! AN AQUAMAN MOVIE,CATWOMAN,AND GREEN LANTERN? Give me a BREAK! Not to mention a disasterous Wonder Woman remake show that luckily got the boot!

  • those stuntmen had balls :O

  • its weird how they did the webshooters on the outside of the soctume 20 years earlier than the comic books. Maybe the writers were inspired by the show to do that

  • Buahaha omg :O

  • When the heck is Spider-Man the TV series coming out on DVD?????

  • OMG! Tootie's Mom!

  • Disco Man.

  • this is a joke...no?

  • haha, whats with the eye piece?

  • Themes Were Funky For Shows Back Then To The 10th Power.

  • I remember the reruns on Sci Fi channel. I didn't care how crappy the special effects were, I was just happy it was spider-man :)

  • What a joke

  • Dig that porno soundtrack

  • so spider man commits scuiside? 0:53

  • Way after the the first apperance of Spider-Man in comic books, and a decade after his first cartoon series had run it's course, and seeing the popularity of just a one minute live action Spider-man segent on the original run of Electric Company, low and behold they put him on prime-time finally. As a kid I thought this show was cool to watch but then again, it was the 70's.

  • OMG that actor looks EXACTLY like the comic book Peter Parker! xD

  • @olg06 i mean cartoon

  • i wonder how many people died trying to film the wall crawling scenes on the building

  • @TheAzraelKnight LMFAO XDDD Good one hahahaha

  • @Habeel13 LOL thanks :D

  • nicholas hammond looks just like the 90's peter parker from the cartoons!!!

  • Nicholas Hammond also played the role of Fredrick in the musical The Sound of Musci

  • @rgalang74 And also appeared as Marsha's guy friend in that "oww, my nose" episode of The Brady Bunch.

  • I love how he's just wearing regular sneakers with the Spider-Man outfit.

  • its funny how back then this was quality stuff.....but now people can make stuff like this in their backyard........

  • Sounds like Spider-man had soul! Keep it real brothas

  • Man!!!! I remember this!! Very cool for the time. I agree with a post below. CG is used WAY too much. As far as I'm concerned, CG ruined the newer Star Wars movies! Seemed that Lucas was more into visual hoopla than good story telling! I loved those movies, but they would have been much better if he'd have labored over the story as much as the CG stuff! Hell.... I don't care if it's on a 6 inch black and white tv..... I'd rather have a good story than the best CG shit available!!!!

  • I have a question. Is this supposed to be like season 7 of the 1970 live action Spider Man show or is this a completely different one?

  • those 1st person shots actually look like the come from Mirrors Edge :)

  • lol this blows anything ive seen from the spidey reboot out of the water

  • @thefatman69dude dude u said the same thing on the spider-man trailer 2002 XD.....spam?

  • the music ..is...EPIC!!!

  • @SybilianShade groovy is more like it

  • that fucking belt! what is up with the Scarlet Spider getup? You know a visible belt and webshooters?? That was supposed to add to the mystery

  • ahh how i miss the 70's....wait, i wasn't even born. ahh how i miss the 70's

  • Awesome!!! I wish they make a R-rated Spider-Man movie. Have Peter Parker in his mid to late 20s and actually fighting villians. Enough of this high school PG-13 bullshit!

  • Now this spiderman is skinny as shit. His outfit is loose on him.

  • Listen to that funky music. I thought that stuff was reserved for porn. LOL

  • Where can i pick up a bootleg copy of the entire series on DVD? Anyone know

  • Totally agree!

CGI is just not good enough.. It's too fast, too blurry, not believable and over-used. When you see the show you know it is actually a guy climbing the damn building, and physically swinging from the rope!

  • i love this because it looks realistic and makes you belive that there can truely be a spiderman out there

  • @hamedma Yes! The beauty is that it blends reality with fiction - unlike CGI-Man, who impresses nobody. This is more believable.

  • this spider man is better than the motion picture

  • @SuperSeanXXX yes, clearly. the special effects are better, too.

  • This was a pretty good show. When you think they didn't have CGI and a small budget, they still put out some entertaining TV.

  • Oh I recognize Nicholas Hammond...he played Fredrich in THE SOUND OF MUSIC movie!

  • can i get this series anywhere... i loved this as a child.... and i want the set...please help.....

  • I was 10 years old when I saw this for the first time..Great memories..And NO CGI..

  • thumbs up if you think this makes more sense than the upcoming amazing spider man movie

  • Out of left field ... but is Chip Fields related to Kim Fields? I see a resemblance.

  • @Uridien mhmm yes

  • @Uridien

Yes, Chip Fields is Kim Fields's mother.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaja

  • Its funny that now a home production garage computer can produce better series than this :D

  • QUE RECUERDOS!!! LO VEIA EN LOS AÑOS 80s... SALUDOS FROM CHILE

  • nicholas hammond as a 35 year old peter parker

  • @illuminatioracle Hahahahahahaha

  • @illuminatioracle 27 which isnt that old

  • he was 28 old

  • Spider-man minus Spider-man's supporting characters (Except sleepy J. Jonah Jameson and not Glory Grant) and his villains plus porn soundtrack equals this.

  • THUMBS UP FOR DISCO MUSIC! :)

  • @wolf335599 or porn music

  • Man esto si me ha dado risa XDDDDD

  • yes this is the good stuff right here!

  • jajajajajjajjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjjajajajajjajajjajajajjaja

  • so cheesy i love it

  • So im not going crasy,, i kept telling everyone i knew that there was a live action spiderman tv series on a whiles ago. no one would believe me

  • Looks cheesy to some of you, but at the time it was WAY more realistic watching this than a bunch of CGI effects

  • even as a kid i hated this and I'd think; why isn't spiderman as cool as the incredible hulk?

  • This music is so 70's..... and I love it!

  • How sad is it when the Japanese Tokusatsu series that had little to nothing to do with the source material looks better than this? At least the Japanese one had a giant robot.

  • What kind of nickname is "Chip" for a woman? The theme song rocks!!!

  • Chip is Kim Fields older sister. She changed her name to Babatunde after leaving show business and married an African gentleman, she now resides in Kenya.

    @CoolerByAMile

  • Nicholas hammond is the best!

  • This is the music I expect to hear when Gwen Stacy and Mary Jane are both sucking Peter North's err I mean Parker's cock at the same time.

  • hahahahahaha..i used to watch this in the 90's when i was 7....

  • The song have name? D:

  • The only thing I hated about this show(I was 8 or 9 at the time)was Spidey never fought any of his classic super-villains. Other than that it was okay.

  • The Amazing 70s...man! Lame now, but as a child of the 70s I loved this show.

  • what's funny is that people on Youtube could do a better job than this now...

  • 0:02 holy shit thats scary

  • Why didn't they just stick to the cartoon?

  • first on the screen, now on the web.

  • 0:02 BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

  • THIS IS SO BAD ITS GOOD!!

  • it looks so stupid :DDDDDDDDDDDDD

  • @Froanite I'll bet you don't have the guts to scale the side of a building, idiotic wimp. Have some respect.

  • i was terrified of this show when i was a small child. When his head popped up at the beginning of the intro, I ran so far away

  • @myusernameistaken23

lol, how old were you back then ? : )

  • People it was 1977..on a tv show..we won't see the best effects til Richard Donner's Superman in 79.

  • @THYCHANIE What effects, that's a real guy scaling the side of a real building. To many wimps in todays tv shows.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s thats still qualifies as effects...can you see the rope...strings pulling or holding him? maybe if you look hard you might..but the principle is still there..and it being in the 70's..well thats self explanatory..i mean explain 0:23..yes his jump to the ceiling is awkward..but yet..the (corny) illusion is there.

  • @THYCHANIE I believe it qualifies as a stunt, that's the reason these individuals are called stunt men or stunt women. I was referring more to cgi spiderman scaling the side of a building. The difference is if his suport were to fail the stunt man would plunge to his death assuming there is no safety net beneath him. The jump to the ceiling is an illusion he is actually falling towards a fake ceiling.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s Understood

  • I knew it wasn't a dream!

  • Japanese Spider-Man is waaayy better!!!

  • @figocooldude Does Japanese spider man scale a real skyscraper, fool?

  • @chroniclerofthe70s Hell yeah, fo'. This old spiderman has nothing against the japanese one, NOTHING.

  • @figocooldude I agree, the Japanese spiderman seems to move more fluidly. I was referring only to the old spiderman stunt double scaling the side of a building.

  • @chroniclerofthe70s Yeah, that's does require a lot of balls.

  • This looks better than anything Spiderman 3 had to offer the world....

  • @thedarkknightgeek except the pie was "so good!!!"

  • @thedarkknightgeek you sir sound like a hardcore comic book geek purist. I thought it was an ok film. This looks really cheap and weird

  • @thedarkknightgeek r u serious??!! lol

  • @thedarkknightgeek yah screw spiderman 3, lets go back to the comics and old TV shows

  • Good old fashioned 70's porn sax !

  • @thedarkknightgeek

    lol you suck

  • @thedarkknightgeek

..and looks better than Amzing Spider-Man trailer

  • @thedarkknightgeek Common dude spiderman 3 wasent that bad

  • @SouLNoob64 honestly......supporting Spiderman 3 isn't necessarily one of the wisest things to do, but please tell me how you find Spiderman 3 to have been a benefit to the franchise, or the entertainment world of movies. Please, do tell.

  • @thedarkknightgeek well i think that its not that bad cause there was venom and sandman who were awesome and the fight between spidey and harry was awesome i liked the part with the black suite i like to see the dark side of peter parker and all that romantic stuff makes it more awesome cause you see how peter feels and stuff but you tell me why do you think spiderman 3 was a bad movie?

  • @SouLNoob64 First off, Spider Man 2 was the perfect example of how to make a sequel: Deepen the characters, make it funnier, give it more heart and come up with a strong villain, and a superb story. Spider Man 3 shows how to kill a franchise. The film takes three bad plot-lines and tries to create a narrative out of them. It contains many empty conversations in which characters dither and nothing happens. With scenes like "Hipster Peter walking down the street" Completely nonredeemable.

  • that guy is way too old to play Peter

  • What an action packed intro. This is the definitive Spider-Man.

  • So... moot is spider-man?
