@CheshireKhat1 Miss Lemon wore that blouse in one of the early Poirot episodes. I can't think of which one, but I recall seeing this blouse before in the series and thinking it was a fantastic period piece.
@hapa122 It is a fantastic period piece! When I rewatch (not a word, I know) for the n'th time, I'll keep a look out for it in those earlier episodes - thanks for mentioning it The wardrobes persons dress the ladies in some great shoes, too. Ah, well...
@GenaWindstarr Indeed, and good ear! She did the Wimsey series and was Fanny Ferrars Dashwood in the movie version of Sense and Sensibility with Emma Thompson, et al. And appeared in a number of other wonderful tv series as well. :)
i cant think of the actresses name just now and i admit i wasnt paying attention to the opening credits, my bad i know, but that headmistress friend of poirots reminds me of the one who played harriet vane in the lord peter wimsey shows strong poison, have his carcass and gaudy night.. the voice sounds similar, thats what i noticed and im not sure when this show was made compared to when the pw shows were but looking at her i suppose it might be her a little older or made up to look as such?
I just finished reading the novel by the same name a couple of hours ago. Agatha Christie's such a brilliant writer! Now I can't wait to watch the movie; I love David Suchet's Poirot!
@AlchemicGnosis I agree. I went to an art boarding school during the eleventh grade... and it wasn't anything like what you see in the movies. The dorms were filthy, some of our guardians were mean, and I was in the dorm that was far away from the nurse's office.
The nurse's office was at the bottom of a hill, and it was a hassle to get there. Plus, one time, a girl hurt herself in dance class and she was supposed to be picked up, but they never showed up! The instructor had to drive her!
Great story

I love Poirot's walk. In fact, I love all his idiosyncrasies. They largely make the shows.

Large boarding schools like that always make me feel like I did almost 17 years ago as a little girl- small and insignificant.
Thanks for posting, this is one of my favourites.
