Previous episodes of this Mini-Epic will reveal the plot and story, especially if they are seen in sequence. Yet Episode 11 could almost stand alone as a marvelous tribute to young romance. It's amazing how well this episode portrays falling in love. The heady, swirling feelings that make you dance. I love the closeups and the bubbles! I don't think it would be too hard for either Dick Cheney, George W Bush, or any member of the Elite to kidnap young women like Sarah and enslave them. I like how B-17's got that splendid dichotomy going for it- both as a wonderful romp through a fantastical twisted storybook land and also as a farcical take on an all too familiar reality we are currently faced with, excellent work Sarah & Arturo. Ok, I get that we are all slaves to the war on terror. I even get that Japan's entralled acceptance of our foreign policy is a necessity predicated on their dependence on the US as a market for their (sexy) goods.

What I don't understand is why they should flee to Japan? Sure, there aren't a lot of choices -- Canada for example would leave the whole thing unresolved, a dissenting but ultimately impotent voice against the status quo.

firsts: i enjoyed the volume, much. but seconds: you use/import the salvation/hero narrative: sarah saves yumi, brings her back to animate life, leads her out of the underworld into the light of day. this type of plot would seem to contradict "the incoherent...future of postTV." wouldn't it? we are all familiar with these plots, know the few options for how they end. (unless, that is, the most important move was after the credits where the line between actor and character is skewed).

B-17 is probably the most refreshing thing I've seen on YouTube. Amidst a horde of self-promoting video bloggers, B-17 goes in an entirely different and unique direction. Toeing the line between story and art, B-17 manages to a find a perfect blend of the two and keeps me coming back for more. After a stellar first volume, one can only hope there is more on the way.
