Are these good earphones. Im thinking of buying ER-4PT a newer version. But I need to know for sure is it worth it. Can you tell the difference in the quality? Is it easy to put the earphones in your ear canal? Stuff like that
The ER-4s are the best earphones ever. I paid $160 for mine and just ordered another pair after 2 years of heavy use. These things will hold quality and durability throughout the entire 2 year warranty. If you own a pair of HD800s, you should not go without the ER-4s.
Thats the one thing I like about Etymotic, look at the giant protecic case. I paid almost double for the SE530 and the Triple fi.10 and they only gave me the smallest case in the world. I saw include both a travel and a housing case.
Etymotic makes awesome products. I've been using their 6i for about 3 or 4 years now, and refuse to use anything else. No matter if I'm on the train or a plane or out on a busy street they block out almost all outside noise, much more effectively than those active noise-cancelling headphones.
i currently have a pair of grado sr80s. i wonder wether tese woul be in te same league or better. the thing with canal phones is that u cant try them on before you buy them
depends if you are listening inside or outside. Grados are amazing headphones in closed enviroments but outside they get polluted with noise. Only way around that is to turn the volume higher up using an amp.
man these things a in a way higher league and mars3554 is retarded these headphone cancel the noise that is the whole point u cant hear anything arround u with them on just ur music so u dont make urself deaf front turnning up the noise
yeh i just brought the er4p s. They are awesome. I have only been using them indoors so far.But in comparison with the grados i have the etys are more analytical and more defined.Overall better.About the bass response the bass is a bit lacking but its not bad.Overall very good experience.I picked them up for 219A$ that would be like 190US which i think is a mad deal
nicks1258, how is mars3554 retarded? You seem to think his statement is in regards to the etymotics, but he is actually talking about the grados. furthermore, he is absolutely correct about them and their characteristics-the grado SR80's that is. You're so prepared to name call, but way to make the word you used ironic.
Hi, I like Etymotic Er-4P alot, one of the best in-ear phones in it's category. It's biggest rival is the Shure E4C, while the shure has better bass response, the Ety's win in highs and mids are very neutral sounding.
Yes you're correct as the ER4P-24 does not come as standard in the package but was included as part of a reviewer press kit. But normally it's a $65 extra. And yes it turn the ER-4P into the ER-4S. There is also the ER-4B.

I have etymotic ER 6i.
What a garbage!
Besides sounding like a tin, the rubber buds do not stay on the phones and often stay in the ear when you take them off.
The cable is very flimsy.

sr80`s are no match to the ER•4 MicroPro.... ever the 6i (the much cheaper ones i own) are better...

Oh yes!
The er4p is the best iem bar none, perfect bass, mids and treble.
on top of that you get superb isolation.
They sound so good it's amazing, everthing is perfect and how the artist intended to be heard.
If you love music you owe it to yourself to get a pair.
No other earphone universal or custom comes close.

I believe the ER4P-24 (the first cable in the beginning, it makes ER4P's sound like ER4S's) comes in the package you have.
qnuts 4 years ago
I meant to say does not come with the package that you show but instead you have to order it separately.

How do you like this product?

never knew that box could be so small
magzcampos 4 years ago
Well, it doesn't have to hold alot as the earphones themselves are small.
It is nice that it comes in a box, other similar models like the Shure E4c don't even come with a box.
