That's what I thought at first - I was willing to cut people some slack.
But I've been to more than 10 games this season, and the chants are still clearly pronouncing his name wrong. Maybe a phonetic spelling on the scoreboard would be helpful...
I'll never forget this. I took off school to watch Opening Day and there was a doubt that I'd even see the game, because of the delay at the beginning. Like I wasted a day off.
This was the first great moment to a series of outstanding events in the Cubs 2008 season. Shame we lost, but this homer started it all for us. It's been a magical year.
@bball4eva71 its not about what kind of seats your at, all cubs fans care about is getting to go to a game. Every single game at Wrigley gets sold out, that goes to show that were true fans. unlike you fairweather fans.
i'd love to see it, but i couldn't because of the obstructed view. and i'm not talking about the camera...

True
I haven't been to one so I'll take your word for it.
I would have to say though, the fans the true cubs fans are standing out now.
I still believe we can win this, but we'll see tonight.
LETS GO RICH!

Cubs fans like you give us all a bad name. At least learn how to pronounce his damn name.
It's: foo-koo-DOUGH-may
NOT: foo-koh-DOUGH-may

the second way of saying fukudome rolls off the tounge better and sounds better in a chant
