How did it need a new engie after just 100,000 miles or so? There are thousands of 300D taxis in Morocco that get easily 400,000 miles on the first engine.

the car was being sold for parts. and its sold already... the trunk came with the car, i couldnt put the trunk on because it was crushed outwards and the hinges were bent and snapped off partially. sold already, though. i miss the thing

actually, it hasn't caught on in the middle east or south asia. It is still mostly the petrol and diesel variants
I know that in USA, many people r converting their diesel benzs (w123, w124 etc.) to bio-diesel
i personally have no interest in bio-diesel yet, even though it saves money
