  • great

  • This is amazing, you should make one for all of Pogo's stuff.

  • It doesn't go higher then that

  • Yeah good job but Wickedfanatic2345 Whisperlude has got ether 100 or 200 samples

  • what is this just random numbers?

  • I DOUBLE DOG DARE YOU TO TRY AND DO THIS WITH WHISPERLUDE... AND SURVIVE!!!

  • Big ups Pogo, Incredible music! Check out the remix of this that I just uploaded! All comments and opinions appreciated. If Pogo has time to check it out and let me know what he thinks I'd be extremely grateful. The remix is called 'Tommy Sissons - Expialidocious (Pogo Remix)'

  • Wow

  • This is really cool! It's like a different kind of music notation!

  • IM SO INSPIRED BY POGO AND IM ONLY 12!! I FELL IN LOVE WITH HIM WHEN I WAS 10!!

  • With all those numbers on the screen it looks like a music video game lke DJ MAX or DDR. :P

  • Chiddy Bang - Never

  • this is pretty cool

  • O_O what do the number mean? lol

  • this is doope

  • TOO MANY NUMBERS >_<

  • Chitty Bang sent me <3

  • Desandnate.

  • IM SO CONFUSED! i know everyone knows what sample counting here is, but i guess im just plain dumb for having no idea and looking at this like my brain is hurting :-( makes me sad that i dont undertsand this at all, and here other people are saying what this guy missed, woot

  • @MiqeMadeline trust me ur not the only one

i wanna know so bad >,<

  • @MiqeMadeline basically this whole thing was created using audio clips (samples) from the movie Mary Poppins (and some basic sounds (the drums etc) from a generic source I think), the sample count is just helping people track which samples are used and when. With the numbers being chronological representations of when the sample first appeared in this video. what people are pointing out is when the counter missed the first appearance of or double counted a sample.

  • @JacobPaige thanks, but i still get confused (^__^) but i like the song so ya :)

  • Everybody. D:

Stop talking about what samples he messed up on so much xD

It looks like it took forever. Give him some credit. c:

  • you should listen to the remix by chiddy bang

  • Now make a brake-down video. Only kidding!

  • chiddy bang sampled a great song

  • I don't think 9 and 10 are samples. I think he made them himself.

  • This is super impressive, I love how you took the time to make this. Kudos to you!!!

  • 17 and 22 are the same where he says "is the life"

  • and and never give us this ass

  • kind of hard to keep count but the song was soothing

  • Well done, thanks for sharing

  • Excellent work. I had no idea what you were doing until I read you comment and after some listening, yeah, I could for the most part keep up. Great job with the number placement too. By using size, duration, and placement, it made following each sample very very easy. I have no idea how accurate you are but I understood what you were going for, and it was awesome.

I really wish I could see you do samples of Alice and Bangarang.

  • 25 actually seems like a pretty low number, haha.

  • What's so good about 15?

  • @mitchelldavidpryor It just sound so great with the song.

  • haha nice :D

  • This is.. Edicational in some kind of way.. Good work

  • Great job man. Seriously, this must of taken a long time.

  • 2:15-2:30 is my favorite :]

  • 21 15 and 22 work so well together

  • 23 to 24 is so chill

  • samples 2-8 remind me of alice by pogo. nice compilations of samples

  • There's something about sample 12 I really like. It has a really deep ring to it that my ears seem to enjoy : P I absolutely adore 0:36 - 0:52 , and samples 25 and 26. Julie Andrews' voice... So beautiful, really.

  • Sample 15 and 17 are my absolute favorite. c:

  • beautiful

  • Sooooo good, my favorite :)

  • Marry Poppins is actually pretty hawt

  • Love this

  • If you aren't making tons of money for these masterpieces than there is real injustice in the world. people like soulja wave their left nut and make millions.

  • What an interesting idea!

  • This guy is F****** Brilliant!!

  • awsome dood can you do it for all his songs?

  • Okay now make a sample count for "Skynet Symphonic" lol

  • search...of deep satisfaction!

  • THATS CHIDDY BANG : Never lol datz that track and they crazy for taking it form here lol

  • wtf? dope lol

  • Oh my goodness, I could've never made this. The video or the song.

  • lol!! good job!!

  • chiddy bang!!!

  • is he saying 602 is the light?

  • @itstimeforcrazyvideo I'm hearing "6:02. This is the life." Then later "6:02 is the life."

  • I don't get this. O_o whaaa?

  • @YeOldeIdiot read the info it explains the numbers

  • I just found Chiddy Bang the rap group sampled this song in their song "Never".

  • HAA I DIG THIS!

  • Comment removed

  • i fucking love this !! :)) its suree amazing!! : ))

  • niccccccccce.

  • this is amazing.

  • Amazing job! It's a task to keep up with all the samples. You made it look very easy.

  • you sir, just blew my mind.

  • This is beautiful

  • this songs awsome

  • he rly is and its such a shame

  • This was really cool. It would be awesome if you made sample count videos of more of Pogo's songs :)

  • @Dizzle, he has always given his work away for free. He never intended to sell it, and everyone who is posting it credits him for the work. So I don't know how he is getting fucked by a deal with Disney.

Hell! I'd like to be fucked by Disney.

  • @chodaboy51500 you do realise that some people that work for Disney call it Mousewitz right? xD

  • @chodaboy51500 mini....or mickey?

  • Mini of course, do you think I'm some kind of sick-o?

  • @chodaboy51500 there's a lot of freaks out there man....

  • Brilliant! I tried to do this *exact* thing with this song a few months ago, but I lost it about 1:00 in! It's very cool to see it visualized like this!

Also BTW - his username is "fagottron", not "faggotron" - :)

  • I don't get what the numbers are for, but oh well.

  • @SephirothxAngel Well it's completely explained in the description.

Each number shows when a sound sample taken from the film is played, a green number is when the sample is played for the first time, and white when it's repeated.

  • Upular reminded me mostly of this.

  • I have no idea why I loved this so much but I did (I guess this unleashed the math/music nerd in me). The only mistake I saw (I couldn't keep up with it all) other than the 17 after the 18 one was that 17 and 22 are the same clip. This took more effort than I would be willing to put in and I am giving 5 stars because of it.

  • Thanks for this video! It's always good to see a fellow quantitative analysis lover on youtube.

  • I love how you've included the numbers! It really makes you think about what you're listening to and appreciate it more because you can understand the effort and talent that went into it.

  • Sample 17 plays again just after sample 18, but the number doesn't reappear

  • Oh wow. How'd I miss that?

  • It would be interesting to see just how complex some of his other tracks are ! This is a great way to visualise music. :)

  • @DJevilstereo Do a sample for Pogo's Living Island.

  • @waywoodr well nobodies perfect LOL - give the guy credit tho - the amount of symatanious tracks used on this song is phenominal!!

  • amazing! i love the harmonizing in the beiginning @ 0:35

  • This video makes you really appretiate how much work goes into his songs.

  • I FUCKING LOVE THIS MIX!!!

  • If I'm not mistaken, 17 and 22 are the same "is the life".

  • Gahhhhh you're right. I actually made a note of that (and the 6...0...2... sample) before starting the graphics so I wouldn't forget. Guess I forgot.

    Oh well. Thanks.

  • life is at a different pitch in one of em :)

  • wait nvm, youre right haha

  • This is seriously the best sampling I have ever heard... If anyone has any other masterpieces like this please suggest some... I would love to hear more!

  • Try to listen to more from Pogo. "Alice" and "Lost" is also materpices ^^

  • pogo - upular

  • Pogo makes really great music - I would suggest listening to 'UPular' if you liked this piece.

  • wow that`s hard sampling

  • This is the power of sampling! A good example of how sampling SHOULD be used!

    Inventiveness and Fun!

  • Sample 15 is by far the best sample of all.

  • Six

    Oh

    <3

  • That was... PURE EPICNESS!!!

  • @callmekorbi fagbag

  • really?

  • damn nice track
