He doesn't examine the nature or origin of morality; he just dismisses it, which to me is lazy. Nietzsche is the philosopher of choice for people with limited life experience and poor empathy. I haven't read his other works, but seeing as Zarathustra is considered his seminal work, I'm not going to bother.

That's fair; it was kind of written in that style. If I might make a suggestion and you're willing to take another look, consider picking up "Beyond Good and Evil". That was sort of his attempt to describe the philosophy at the heart of Zarathustra in a much more straightforward manner.

@BramBoxtel Thus Spoke Zarathustra was terrible. I went in expecting some kind of logical progression and I got a bunch of ridiculous nihilism with no basis and no practical application. He doesn't examine the nature or origin of morality; he just dismisses it, which to me is lazy. Nietzsche is the philosopher of choice for people with limited life experience and poor empathy. I haven't read his other works, but seeing as Zarathustra is considered his seminal work, I'm not going to bother.

@lordnimr0d This is the thing, it was literally a world fighting, now I know the Germans were very well kept and prepared but so many transported, housed, I dont understand house they could kill such a high number, I mean The Russians now they lost millions of soldiers but that was with war and the cold and so on, I kow the jews being executed is awful to talk about but I cannot understand how millions could have been killed in such a short time,not being awful but I cant figure it...
