Killzone always get's atmosphere dead on, but the character always look horrible. I understand if the faces don't have much movement while playing, but the cutscenes have to be better. If your ingame facial animations are shit then you shouldn't use it for cutscenes.
Overall, Killzone has always had inconsistent visual standards. The first level looks amazing but half way through the game looks like it belongs on the last generation console.
Rico is a douche and the only new ISA character in this game that I thought was cool they killed...
Narville was kind of cool too but he sucks in 3.
Kz3 should have been more like Kz2 and less like the moronic cartoony halfassed story it is. Also KZ2 graphics, design, tech (Atac, towers etc) and Gameplay > Kz3.
Kz3 tech might be better, but KZ2 looks more real in almost everyway.
Kz3 design and visuals are cartoony and halfassed. its a fun, good looking game but its not quite Killzone to me

And if you're going to say the shields in halo are unreal they are shield they are meant to protect from bullets and etc. And science behind is be on you

Why are both commanding officers out in the open at the start of this and why do neither of them have a sniper. Why are these arc towers so interesting to them? Are they trying to figure out how electicity works? They can do join ICP an figure out how magnets work at the same time. Why are they watching what is clearly a lighting rod come out of the ground. First thought would have been to shoot.

@Xtra15 neither side is "good" or "bad" the helghast were wronged by the isa and the earth forces basically because they were rich and successful. however the helghast are know for being brutal, consistently using torture and executions, and they also will attack and kill civilians, notably in the opening cut-scene to Killzone 1. this was also before any kind of militia or resistance group was formed. both sides are occupying a very gray area.
Can't believe ppl complained about the swearing. Now Guerialla have confirmed that they will hardly any swearing. For me it was an integral part of the narrative.

Nah. They where the masks because when they were forced to leave earth they found helghan(of course) but had to adapt to the planet. So they where them to breath but a few helghans didnt need them for some reason i forgot. Killzone actually has a pretty good story, sadly they just didnt put as much as a focus as they should have with it in kz2.
Ya i really like the ps2 one too.But dont get me wrong killzone 2 is one of the best shooters ever made. The story just left out some backstory and overall could have been better but its still an above average story for a fps. I still really enjoyed it and the end is epic. And gameplay is very good too.I dont know why you would think that lol but you should try it. After getting used to the controls youll apreciate them and its an amazing game.

I still don't get why the Hellghast have to wear their gasmaks on their own planet, when the reason that they had masks in the first game was because they couldn't breathe regular atmosphere because they had to evolve different lungs to survive on Helghast. Even if they were just wearing it to be intimidating, that does not explain why the regular people don't have to wear gasmasks, because it clearly showed the original non-evolved Helghast have to wear masks when they are handling babies.
@Moredread25 Its clearly shown in the first seconds of the opening scene of the first game that the helghast had to wear masks to breath on their own planet. They haven't been there long enough to evolve.

a soldier who can't keep his cool in the heat of battle might as well not join the Armed services.

they're probably wearing gas masks because its easier for animators since they wouldn't have to develop a face for them

Nah. They where the masks because when they were forced to leave earth they found helghan(of course) but had to adapt to the planet. So they where them to breath but a few helghans didnt need them for some reason i forgot. Killzone actually has a pretty good story, sadly they just didnt put as much as a focus as they should have with it in kz2.

Ya i really like the ps2 one too.But dont get me wrong killzone 2 is one of the best shooters ever made. The story just left out some backstory and overall could have been better but its still an above average story for a fps. I still really enjoyed it and the end is epic. And gameplay is very good too.I dont know why you would think that lol but you should try it. After getting used to the controls youll apreciate them and its an amazing game.

@GamMan93 well i'd like to try it but i dont have a ps3 so i just watch what i can of the game on youtube and draw a conclusion from there. plus my friend who has a ps3 doesnt have it yea i would like to play it but it would cost me $360

Oh well i highly recomend getting one lol. But really dont judge the game before you play it, thats just not fair. You should talk your friend into at least renting it or something. So you cna get a taste of it. Or he could download the demo.(demo wasnt that great though)

I still don't get why the Hellghast have to wear their gasmaks on their own planet, when the reason that they had masks in the first game was because they couldn't breathe regular atmosphere because they had to evolve different lungs to survive on Helghast. Even if they were just wearing it to be intimidating, that does not explain why the regular people don't have to wear gasmasks, because it clearly showed the original non-evolved Helghast have to wear masks when they are handling babies.

@Moredread25 Its clearly shown in the first seconds of the opening scene of the first game that the helghast had to wear masks to breath on their own planet. They haven't been there long enough to evolve.
