  • my mom drives a ford escape, same year as this one. its up around 130k miles and needs new tires soon, but the chassis rattles like crazy, especially if the vehicle is idle and in Park or Drive. The problem was diagnosed as bad engine mounts but when she had them replaced the problem still keeps happening.

  • These are my favorite Escapes of all time!

  • I've noticed that my grandparnt's 01 ford escape does the same creaking, but it didnt seem to do it as much as this one though.

  • the materials on the door inserts and the passenger airbag are interesting..They are like a mix of hard and soft. they fool you. everything is firmly set in the escape, or tribute for that matter. I have no idea what that noise is..

The material isn't definitely hard like it is in my Grandmother's pilot.

As much as i hate the metallic painted plastic, i think it is of much better quality than has been since 06 with GM for example.

The ride is firm, yet not harsh like my grandfather's Volvo S70.

  • the transmission on the 2000-2007 (Japan, US) 2006-present (Taiwan)

    2010-present (China) Ford Escape

    Transmission

    5-speed manual

    4-speed CD4E automatic

  • Escape's are nice! I do like the new ones with the floor shifter. Again I'm not at fan of the column shifter with the windshield wiper stalk below it.

  • i cant wait to drive mines its sitting in the driveway waiting for my licence

  • I really enjoy those Ford cars especialy the 2008-2009 Ford Focus'. The engine that Ford put in it is amazing. That 1.9L I4 gets excelent gas milage and sounds pretty good. The 1.5L I4 in the old generation of Focus sounded good and got good gas milage, but the 2008-2009 is better.

  • I used to have a 2003 ford escape xlt and I loved it. I drove it everywhere for the longest time. I got hit from the side on a winter night driving home from work. It sucked ass losing that truck. It was my baby

  • Bah! I dont like the inside

  • 6:12 dont flip me off

  • Excellent ride! I wonder how you can drive those nice cars for free? ;) Thanks for uploading!

  • My cousin had one of these.! It flipped 3x.!

  • That DSM was so distracting... lol

  • great videos !!

  • I would love to have that car. I don't care what peple say i LOVE Ford cars.

  • I want this so bad!

  • I learned that in health heated seats are bad for your balls...no joke. (:

  • pause at 0:29 look at kyles face haha :)

  • cooooooooool

  • The 2003 is ugly...

  • got the same and i love it :)

  • has a great ride my dad has a 2010 ford escape 4x4 and it has such a nice and smooth ride

  • I have the 2010 Escape Limited V6 4X4 ...I love it!

  • is it a 4x4?? or is it a 4x2?? i have the escape's european twin brother - the maverick, 2002, with a 3.0 v6 engine, 4x4 of course, and it has a differential locking switch on the left of the ventilation switches. i know, that the maverick's after the face lifting in 2004 also don't have the switch.

  • @ELVISwejpl It's 4X2. I have the '03 4X4 version of this and the knob would be situated in the blank cutout area directly to the left of the A/C controls (the opposite side as the lighter).

  • how much was it because im looking for my first car

  • WHERE DID YOU BOUGHT THAT GRILLE ????! Let me know I wanna buy it TY!

  • I love these, my Aunt had a 2001, and racked up over 200,000 miles on it, and my Grandma bought a new 2008, and hasn't had a problem yet!

  • Don't drive into the light!!!!

  • Ive driven one before... The throttle is Sensitive...

  • dude, how about a little commentary while driving it!

  • When in Rome - The Promise

  • How good is it on gas?

  • I like the explorers better. I don't know why, they're both crap. My dad had a 99 ford explorer and two of the pistons wouldn't fire. What a weird car. It still felt manlier than this car I guess. This car just feels a little feminine to me. Not very "ford tough" if you ask me.

  • Definitely. Especially the wee-little 4bangers that come in them. They seem so rugged looking.. The passat of SUV's.. hehe

  • The Escape is a nice truck but the only thing I find kinda stupid is the location of the shifter. You could be driving along and wanna change the radio or the air temperature and the shifter either gets in the way or you could accidentally knock it into reverse or a low gear. Ford should have made a floor mounted shifter or made the thing shorter. Other than that, I like the truck and it's something I would drive. Thanks for the video Kyle. :)

  • why do u turn the radio right down instead of turning it off? does it make any difference?

and how many test drive do u get to do on one car? u seem to hv a long as holiday lol or is that js vidz u hvent uploaded yet?

hope there is a lot poter to do the work when ur not around.

  • lots of creaking in the background. something could be loose

  • I heard a lot of creaking in the interior. Was it the car or something loose inside?

  • I think so, idk what it was though, no tellin

  • @xavier1519 I think the creaking sound is every time he hits a bump the camera on the tripod jiggles.

  • @xavier1519 That sounds to me like interior panles were taken off at one point for a mod or repair or something and never put back on correctly. Ive been in a few of these things, never once did they creek like that.

  • thats a really nice interior

  • 6:51-7:00 Why do you always do that?

  • @1964mm probably to check out the steering and see how well it handles.

  • @1964mm so I can start out and get a good acceleration run from a slow start

  • Is this the 6 cylinder?

  • the 6 was standard on limited and i think also on the XLT models

  • That's what I thought.

  • nice suv man!

  • Hey, @ 2:41, a sound from the soundtrack of Napoleon Dynamite!

  • we have a 2007 escape limited with 101,000 miles on it, been pretty good!

  • I have the same car in black. Awesome videos, keep up the great work

  • For some reason, Ford's in general seem to pack on the miles! Could be a good thing, or a bad thing! My Dad's 01 Explorer had 150 miles when bought new, 9 years later, 134,850 miles! Well...Built Ford Tough is right!

  • @talldude123 Fords are great that way. I have an old 1987 Bronco II, and it has 243,000 miles on it, and still running strong. Gotta love fords....

  • @talldude123 my uncles 99 explorer currently has 225000mi but 200k came from 99-06

  • @talldude123 Our Toyotas do the same thing.

  • it always surprises me that these cars are already made from 2001 haha

  • Your videos RULE! Keep up the great work!

  • Thanks again man, glad to hear you're enjoying them!!
