  • watch?v=Af2ZWW622Rw :)

  • It sounds like your driveline is shaking like mine does. Do you have any plans to fix, and how? I'd like to fix mine

  • Awsome.

  • hmm doesn't look like 444 whp...What kind of dyno was that on? And what correction was used? (SAE, STD, Smoothing?)

  • @lVlemphiz Dynojet SAE, Smoothing at 5, 2300' elevation went 118 mph @ 3700 lb race weight in 4000' density altitude air. Would have easily dont 124 + at sea level in good air.

  • @nitroused383 nice car i love it

  • @nitroused383 How does this weigh 3700 pounds?

  • Hi i am a young guy seeking and old ass woman

  • Mean car, Props.

  • i want at least 100 out of 3rd it looks very weird when you don't

  • So if i were to upgrade the valve springs in my ls1, what rpm could i safely take it to as a shift point?

  • @whitroc01 The valve springs and push rods are the weak link. Even after upgrading those there is no point in revving past 6000 rpm as the stock cam makes power power around 5600 rpm.

  • @nitroused383 Fuckin excellent ! And I'm glad it's the 6 speed .

  • Seen as you were going down hill that fast, my silverado goes that fast on a straightaway with weight in the back. and its all stock. you got alot of modding to do.

  • slipping clutch?

  • Nice run man! How much did you end up spending on the rear end with those gears?

  • I got camaro ls1 also..what did your car trap mph in the 1/4? and time? whats mods..thanks so much

  • @NateCProductions I've ran an 11.7 @ 118mph on a 4000' DA day at a 2200' elevation track.

  • GOT TOURQUE?

    LOL

At 6k Rpm its all about Hp, Your Were out of ur tourque band at 4krpm....

And btw... I dont think running that engine at those rpms is too good... Its Not A Ferrari Or Cobra!!!

  • @butanebird91 are u retarded?

  • @butanebird91 Not sure what you are trying to say here but I'd suggest you stop thinking on your own before you hurt yourself.

  • @butanebird91 agree with you on one thing too high rpm the ls1 cuts out at aournd 5800 and the torque does not drop off at 4 more like 5500

  • @butanebird91 You are a complete idiot. Carry on...

  • @butanebird91 Quit embarrassing yourself retard and go get an education! If you have the right cam/heads setup and tune high RPMs are where you need to be. That's where the peak power is! Now of course if this car was stock that would be a completely different story, but obviously it's not! Like he said, stop think on your own before you hurt yourself.

  • @butanebird91 you obviously dont know much about ls1's maybe you should stick with fords

  • @butanebird91 Yeah your about retarded, and know nothing about LSX engines. My LS3 makes power all the way to 6700rpms.

  • @butanebird91 do your research dumbass. idea lshift point for these engines is just over 6300rpm. thats stock. unfortunately, theres a fuel cut at 6200. and this engine will take that sort of a beating for well over 100k miles. i suggest you take your fanboy bitching elsewehre

  • @butanebird91 hmm, I guess if I was the owner of a 99 Cobra I would hate the world too.

  • @butanebird91

lol those 3.8L engines could last longer than any little honda or hybrid you got.

  • @butanebird91 you sir, are a dumbass. 6500 is just fine in an LS1, out torque band drops off a litte after 5, but it still has plenty.

note - 4th gear, 120mph, and his acceleration rate stayed the same all the way to redine, if he had hit fifth he would have blown right by 120 and kept going, no issues with torque here

  • @butanebird91 Ha ha!! I have to a agree with nitroused383. As for revving past 6k RPM with LS1, as long as you put on better springs, push rods, and a cam that actually has more lift and duration to create power up high, you can safely rev to 7k, although that is pushing it. Apparently you have not seen the the 9000 RPM destroked LS7. Type in rob Z on the dyno, there are also passes of the car. Well built LSx engines see 7000-7800 RPMs all the time as 10k is pointless on a push-rod engine.

  • did the camaro ss line come with 4.11 gears stock? thanks

  • @chevy23123 no

  • @chevy23123 No, 3.42s were stock in the LS1 6speed Z28s and SSs. I don't remember exactly what the Autos had. I have a 99 Z28 LS1 6 speed, and the rear is still stock in it, but not for long lol!

  • @AdrenalineJunky17 6 speed z28s and t/as had 3.23s, m6 SS and ws6s had 3.42s, all auto ls1s were 2.73s

  • @yeedoh No, 6speed LS1 Z28s, SSs, WS.6 and T/As from 98-02 have 3.42 Rear gears! You can check the options codes on the drivers side doors to see what they came with from the factory! My buddys 01 SS had 3.42s stock, and my 99 Z28 has 3.42s stock! Some may come with different options to have 3.23s or it may be from 93-97 but my 99 Z28 came with 3.42s factory! I have checked the options code and the VIN to verify!

  • @AdrenalineJunky17 ok you are actually right my bad. ya all 6 speed ls1s had 3.42 gears , it was the auto SS and WS6s that came with the 3.23s and all the rest of auto ls1s had 2.73s :)

  • @yeedoh Yeah I knew it was something like that, I didn't want to say none of them had 3.23s b/c I remembered hearing about it somewhere, so I just figured it was a difference of options. But yeah that makes sense with the Auto gearing. Glad you found that lol! I have worked on alot of F- Bodies, but they were all 6 speeds. I personally don't like autos for performance cars unless it's a strict track car for numbers or family car! But for a fun D/D Performance car, 6 speed all the way!

  • @AdrenalineJunky17 hell ya man! i have a 01 ws6 with the 6 speed and its my daily driver. just turned over 100k miles a few days ago and it runs great, the engine still pulls like a mo fo, only thing is i suspect my fuel pump is going to quit on me one of these days. car is stock except for a lid and flowmasters. In 2 years i will have it paid off (4 year loan) and then hopefully start modding!! that is if nothing breaks till then!! knock on wood!!

  • That's F-n quick!

  • Pinnin the needle all the way to 6,500! That's the way you run a car :D

  • you must smoke most camaros i bet

  • fast you must run low 11,s send me a message if im right

  • dang not bad but I'll bet ur fuel economy sucks though kick ass camaro

  • @chevy23123 I didn't buy a V8 car for fuel economy but it gets 17 mpg in town and 26 mpg on the highway.

  • @nitroused383 Ls1's are actually quite good on fuel economy

  • @ModMob Very good.

Look at Corvette's, making close to 30 MPG Highway!

  • @ManRossDamn i know. haha aerodynamics ftw

  • @nitroused383 depends on how long your trips are. they dont do well cold. i average ~13mpg, because most of my trips are under 2 miles

  • @chevy23123 with as long as the 6th gear is in these cars, 4:11's won't hurt that bad. Stock they got around 30 highway, which is crazy.

  • Ya I pulled the gears back out and reshimmed them. Check my other videos you will find all the setup details.

  • Rear end starts to howl @ 112mph

  • whats your set up?

  • with those gears. Whats your top speed before hitting the redline? I can cruise at 2000RPMs at 70mph and thats it before it starts using up gas.

  • @CamaroSS2236 With 4.11's the top of 4th gear is going to be about 122, with a slight variance depending on tire size and if the rev limiter is raised or not. 2000 rpm is going to be over 70mph in 6th

  • never mind looks like 4.11s are doing the job. major props my friend.

  • Is it a manual?

  • @best17driver yeah it says m6
