@BmXxPR With a stupid statement like that, I can tell you have never been to Moab. That tub is A LOT steeper than it looks. Plus, it is pretty uneven.
It gets real expensive, though, if you slam your vehicles. I know how I'd have hit that (it's perfect). I know I'd have had another $2000 repair bill. But I don't have a wife to check me anymore -- and I don't like it.
It's easy to be aggressive when you have cash out your ass.
Only in a Jeep!!
Imagine how awesome that would be on a motorcycle. The problem, as always, is: the landing.
wow you are special , holy fuck you rented a jeep and drove it though a hole that thousands before you have driven , I would shake your hand but dont want to catch your gayness
@SpecialAndNotDumb OMG you are so hardcore! Your hardcoreness is beyond comprehension. I would shake your hand but your hardcoreness would probably shatter all of my bones.
He is out wheeling and having a good time, not everyone has an ego problem that they have to go out and prove something.
@baileytom78 No you couldn't. It does require a little ground clearance on this obstacle. I just love people that don't know what is required for many of Moab's obstacles. Even my Jeep XJ with 3.5" of lift has trouble with some of them, so get into reality, please. Plus, on a lot of these obstacles, you are at a pretty bad disadvantage with an independent suspension.
i agree with the "its all about having fun" post. if you go to moab its way different than watching videos on youtube. its a little nerve racking at first... especially in a rental haha.
For some people its more about just being there, not about doing everything the hard way. For others its taking the hardest line and making it through, its all about having fun.
@trio3d Probably has at least a rear locker if not a front locker too. And, being in LO gear on the transfer case with a reasonable throttle foot will help not spin the tires. With the wet rocks he probably could have put his foot down and spun the tires, but might not have made it out that way.
@NBSV1 No, that was a stock Wrangler, with open diffs. That is the nice thing about a straight axle: it is MUCH easier to keep traction in the front than it is with an IFS.
@shizloops2 dude? WTF? Have you, like, ever, been to Moab? Like, EVER?
Douche nozzles like you web wheeling make the web a very entertaining place to hang out. When you're old enough to get your license, go check out the bath tub on Hells Revenge (or you could just Google it on the web, why bother doing the real thing?)
@shizloops2 Hey, I was just poking fun at your 'dudeness.' Your post came across like many of the web wheelers on here. No problem. My point is that there's more than one pot hole on Hells Revenge trail. This is the easy one, and yes, this jeep made it through in both directions (I was there). There's no attempt to pretend this jeep made it through Mickey's Hot Tub or the Car Wash. This is the Bathtub. All in good fun.
@52Moxie I actually have rented a jeep and took it out around Moab and I think you chickened out too by going the wrong way. It is still fun going the wrong way don't get me wrong but it doesn't take any skill doing so.
rofl right.. go the other way the jeep is stock ffs while your at it lets go hill climbing and mud bogging your not gonna make it no were and it is a rental
I bet he still had fun though....you should do what you are comfortable with. It's when people's ego's get in the way is when they tear up good rigs...
@52Moxie but real wheelers, you know own jeeps and put countless days of work into there off road rig and buying thousands of dollars in parts... and the real wheelers do all this work them self... what did u go and do? u rented a stock jeep... kinda sad i must say...
@npa4863 hey maybe he has friends that do it and decided to try it are you saying that you would go and spend that kind of money to build a jeep without trying it first? if so i must say either you have too much money or your an idiot maybe both
@52Moxie Yea, there's no "wrong" way. But aren't these terrain feature for testing how well your 4x4 vehicle work. Anything can go down a steep hill. A few couldn't go up without upgrading from stock. I think that's what he meant by "wrong" way.
I didn't know there was a rule on which way they have to go. Last I checked 4x4ing was about having fun and it looks like they did just that. If he had tried to go up the other side I suspect the stock jeep wouldn't have made it. Being it was a retail he probably didn't have someone to help him pull out if something had gone wrong. It's always better to be safe than sorry...
@ThoughtlessO I don't want to upset any one here, BUT. Is the point of off roading not about just getting off the road?? It deosn't really matter what way he goes about it!!
@elsrally well.. if you're going to tackle moab...... its not just the point to be off of raods.. and he went in back wards because the challenge is supposed to be getting up the other, steeper, side

when my wife and i went to hawaii for our honeymoon we rented a 4x4 jeep and they gave us a map of trails haha. we followed one to get the green sand beaches and tested our luck on a steep down slope. we almost flipped it! good times tho
