I put this in my watch later list months and month ago and just barely watched it. Your struggle mirrors that of my own and so many others, and I, like you, kept a journal of my fears and thoughts.  Those journals later helped me when I was coming out, and helped me to realize I'd always been the same guy, I was just trying to ignore him. Great job with this video, I'm sure you'll inspire many more kids to be strong.

Daughtry, While I somewhat agree with what you're saying about people in the homosexual community...and that they deserve happiness and should be proud of how they were made; I don't think in this video, he was saying he was ashamed of his sexuality. It's supposed to be him dealing with certain instances in his life while growing up. I think it's rather artistic. And art is subjective. I hope you take this into consideration. I found this video quite by accident, and I have to say that it's a very strong message you are sending out to people who are sinking deeper and deeper into depression because they cannot find a reason to live on from all the prejudices that surrounds them. Many gay children and teens wish they were straight. Fortunately, as time goes by, an overhwelming majority of gays and lesbians are perfectly happy and content about their sexuality.

For every gay adult who wish he/she was straight, there are at least 20 gay adults who would NOT want to "miraculously" change to straight.

What is so special about being something you have absolutley no knowledge (or desire) of? Would someone of a certain race wish to be a memeber of a different race? Why?
