Just go to Bios,and shift the way hard-disk connect to PC>>>from SATA to IDE(it will slow the data transfer little,but who cares,you will safe your data,pistures etc.This is especially important if you have Windows XP-home edition.I try that,it really works.Bye from shiny Macedonia!

I think that blue screen message said UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT VOLUME,

Install Recovery Console or run the Recovery Console (you need a XP CD)

Type in chkdsk /f or r and fixboot.

It should work,

i have an hp 530 and my HDD is ruined. all i get is a non system disk error. so im waiting for my cousin to create a recovery cd so i can start using my laptop again.

This problem can be resolve by either trying to fix windows via a repair or by getting a fresh install of windows. Save your important files and then format or clean the hard drive then isntall windows again. any questions please sendme a comment so I can helpyou further.

@actionman172 Well you will have to get yourself a copy of windows. Look at your windows key and get the same version of it. Try to get your hands on a OEM windows disk. Then boot laptop from cd and follow the instructions. Don't forget that everything will be erased and please back up any important data before doing this.

os is crashed just find you os cd and reintall the os!!!!!

If you can, right when the blue screen comes up, try and press the Pause Break button on your keyboard, write it down, tell me what it says. If it doesn't work, then try taking a picture of it. The blue screen will tell me whats wrong with your laptop. Also if its very serious, then I would recommend reformatting your laptops harddrive. Sorry for your problem.

if you got vista, that'll do it to you. it did that on vista on my pc, i just switched to xp again. vista sucks
