Dr Mercola says the China study is flawed. He also says he gets one to two patients a month who are sick from not eating meat. I saw Campbell on Larry King last night. T. Colin Campbell looks like every vegetarian I have ever seen, anorexic, cheeks all sallow and sunken in. He looks very unhealthy. Eat some meat!
Here he is one of the most important doctors in the world who can save our lives and what he's saying is almost totally eclipsed by that background music. Nix the music so we can hear what he's saying and next time focus on a closer view of the slides.
I am currently reading the China Study. My refute is why wipe out animal protein completely? The mice he tested was 20% vs. 5% protein, & the people in rural China was NOT eating a vegetarian/vegan diet. It even says so that the rural Chinese diet was "low" in protein, yet the conclusions and what he preaches is to eat zero animal protein. I am Chinese myself and eat Chinese food everyday. I do believe that people over eat animal protein and need to cut it down but not so you completely omit it.
yes,,I havent been a vegetarian for some times now and i only consump only 5-10% egg, fish protein. I am feeling great, and no major halth problem so far. I am a Chinese 2 and the THe CHina study is really an eye opening book
I agree, a small percentage of calories (less than 10%) from "clean" animal sources won't promote disease -- a view shared by Dr. Joel Fuhrman and other nutrition specialists. However most people can also do fine on a vegan diet if they so choose.
Meat isn't poison that is the difference. Japanese and Mediterranean diets are considered to be very healthy diets and they contain meat. Knowing your source, not eating excessive amounts of meats, and also focusing more on seafood too is healthy.
The Japanese and Europeans also include alcohol and smoking in their daily routine... would you consider these part of their health "success"?
There are no benefits to including meat in the human diet and plenty for eating fruits and veggies. Humans choose to eat meat for reasons other than health.
@InvisiMan2006 omg.. how can you say that their are no benefits to eating meat .. do some research .. it's the only reliable source for B12, which our bodies need. It's the only source that is nutritious enough for human beings to survive by eating it alone.
Stop preaching lies and making people sick. If you want to take the risk fine, but don't spread falsehoods.
Do you have any evidence backing your claims? B12 is a biproduct of bacteria. If you are looking for the more RELIABLE source, than a sublingual B12 tablet is the best thing. Since B12 deficiencies are also present in meat-eaters, you have to question if eating meat solely to provide B12 is a good idea.
Can you send me a link about that archeology proof you referred to in your last message?
Great video of Dr. Campbell except it is suggested that PeakOilBoy redo this video by adjusting the music audio - dropping it down, or removing it all together and re-upload. Don't try to show off your video talents by adding music when not needed.
the music is awful.

It's not the background Music, it's the echo in the room. Thanks for posting! Altruistic!

The background music is a little annoying. But the info in this video is GREAT.

Some of these health effects may take decades before any dis/advantage is noticeable.

@SaganAppreciationSoc Exactly .. archeologist find the consequences to not eating enough meat after people are dead.

Now either you're kidding, or I mis-read that, or you made a typo, or you're out of your mind.

i guess that;s a choice. You can still eat your meat and still be health. Just dont over dose yourself.

So, rather than eliminating the poison, you would rather just reduce the amount consumed? Seems like flawed logic.
If you are only looking for partial health, I suppose to you could still eat meat, but why settle for partial health??

@InvisiMan2006 Meat is the healthiest thing a human being can eat and archeology proves it.
Many vitamins can only be absorbed by the body if eaten with meat fat.
picklesloveslight 1 year ago
@picklesloveslight
Archeology proves what? That humans had a lifespan of 20-30 eating the healthiest food?
Can you explain which vitamins can ONLY be absorbed by eating meat fat?
This is all new science to me....

I'm with raw4healing. Dr Cambell is a hero. Too bad he's hard to hear in this video though.

I agree with puritanofgrace on the music. It makes it difficult to understand what he's saying.

Fogive me for saying this but I cannot hear what Mr. Campbell is saying due to the music in the background. Is there anyway of turning it off?

Great video!!! Dr. Campbell is great. I recommend that everyone continue to read and/or listen to his other works. We are what we consume.
