I watch this when I was 5 and I still hum "sir robin the brave" this even though I'm 30. I just notice why is he introducing a angry olger and a witch in a dark hallow swamp.
I'm in a play right now, and I play the frog prince, one of his lines is actually, "No, my name isn't Prince Charming, I think it's Kermit!" I was just doing some, er, research for the part. He's just like that in the play, nice as a frog, but jerkish as a prince
@TheZB17 Since was this first aired in 1971, I'm not sure how many people will get the reference to Kermit. Also, it was the frog Sir Robin, not Kermit, who was changed into a frog by the witch. Of course, if you said "my name isn't Prince Charming, I think it's Sir Robin", that might be an even more obscure reference.
I'm in a play right now, and I play the frog prince, one of his lines is actually, "No, my name isn't Prince Charming, I think it's Kermit!" I was just doing some, er, research for the part.
@wii1245 I've played it a few times over the years, so it is not in mint condition. However, the last time I played it (over ten years ago), it sounded fine.
Does anyone know if Trudy Young, the actress who portrayed Princess Melora, was in much else after this? I did not find much on her with an Internet search.
The funny thing ever is that the Witch looks like my Aunt Veronca....something me and my brothers realized very quickly as a child haha. she even laughs like my aunt and sounds like her too.
I LOVED this as a kid, it was so funny. I don't suppose you'd also have Tales from Muppetland: Muppet Musicians, would you? That was another favorite of mine as a child and we lost the tape long ago and I've never seen that one since.
I was seven years old when this came out. I memorized the record album syllable by syllable... obsessed! So wonderful to see this again. Thanks for posting!
@TomMSTie1138 That's nothin'. I'm 59, I remember watching the original on TV, and I still have the record of it. And when I say record, I mean record, not CD or tape. I was going to give the record to one of my nephews or my niece but I decided, since my nephews and niece had not seen it, they would not appreciate the record. Therefore, I got them something else and kept the record for myself. I am glad pirateA84 posted this. Part 3 of this is on my Favorites list.
@ChicagoSouthDan You can convert it to MP3, then burn it onto CD. Purchase the Ion USB turntable(commonly known as record player) from The Source or Walmart. Install the software that comes with it, play the record and split sections of the story into tracks and then burn it on a CD. Then mail the CD to your nephews for them to listen to.
@wii1245 Since I am 59, my nephews are in their 40s now. Also, unless you have seen the TV version shown in these videos, I don't know if you would get much out of the record, even though Kermit narrates what is happening. However, it might be something for me to do for myself, since I have a number of records from that period and earlier. Also, two out of three of my nephews live within an hour's drive from me, so I could just give them the CD.
I love this film. Although nowadays I can't think of Sir Robin the brave. I think of Sir Robin the not quite so brave as Sir Lancelot who slew the vicious chicken of bristol and...you get the idea! : P
I saw this when it first aired, and I bought the record of it (not CD or tape but vynyl record) for my nephews. However, since they had not seen the show, I kept the record and got them something else. I still have the record. I haven't listened to the record in many years, but I remembered all the words to the "Sir, Robin the Brave" song. And I'm 58 years old, so that's kind of embarrassing :)
I wonder what happens to those people if they don't do what they are told to do when the king makes a joke or something like that... Are they never seen again? o.O
Ohmigosh!! I haven't seen this in forever!!!! i used to watch this all the time and totally forgot about it. I loved reciting the princesses lines. Thnx for uploading :)

Yeah, there's so much good stuff to watch. I have to get them all on DVD so that I don't have to stress out about YouTube not having a movie or episode and deleting ones I've already collected. Then of course there's the stupid new look of the playlists, they didn't even keep the 'remove' button on there and I can't transfer videos between playlists anymore! XP
