  • You know this is a wicked old movie, I wasn't even born when this came out...but when I was little we had this and watched it allll the time <3

  • this is my favourite movie in the world, i used to watch it as often as snow white <3

  • i love you tube i get to relive my childhood lol

  • "Awww Froggy Frog hop hop bye bye" lol

  • This was one of my favorite movies when I was little. SO CUTE! <3

  • I remember this movie ^_^

  • @Rubberman202 yeah i just thought of that.......i'm not bright ethier apartly

  • You know, for someone who's "a mountain of talent", not being able to swim doesn't really show that aspect of him.

  • I just released Kermit's frog friends are all named after King Arthur's knights of the round table.

Also, Sweetums has got to be one of my favorite Muppets, and this was the first time I ever saw him as a kid.

  • I watch this when I was 5 and I still hum "sir robin the brave" this even though I'm 30. I just notice why is he introducing a angry olger and a witch in a dark hallow swamp.

  • Robin!!!!!!!! :D

  • ....Why dosen't sweetmus hit him while he is singing/

  • @declangalbraithfath Because Sweetums is an idiot. They drove that point home multiple times during this special.

  • I <3 'ed this movie as a little girl and still love it now..but i can understand the princess now XD

  • thumbs up if you came here becuz of south park

  • @fochizzel2 why south park?

  • I love that song. It kinda reminds me of... well... of me.

  • lol "LARGE CHEER!!!"

  • Thanks for posting this! I had the album as a kid in the 70's and never knew it was shown on TV!

  • Kermit would be an awful father.

  • Thank you posting this! I was beginning to think I had imagined watching this because I couldn't find it anywhere!!

  • the radiently beautiful delightful blue eyed flaxen hair princess Malora... but she's not a frog, so just disregaurd her!

  • You guys need to look up Monty Python Sir Robin and listen to the Brave sir robin song sung by his minstrels.

  • did anyone notice that the king has a resemblence to bert

  • Kermit isn't a good Storyteller lol

  • Also cool to see the first apperance of Sweedum he oneo fmy muppets

  • Thanks a lot for sharing I been dying to see this by the way I am curious which Dinsey channel station this was on

  • Nostalgia!

  • I'm in a play right now, and I play the frog prince, one of his lines is actually, "No, my name isn't Prince Charming, I think it's Kermit!" I was just doing some, er, research for the part. He's just like that in the play, nice as a frog, but jerkish as a prince

  • @TheZB17 Since was this first aired in 1971, I'm not sure how many people will get the reference to Kermit. Also, it was the frog Sir Robin, not Kermit, who was changed into a frog by the witch. Of course, if you said "my name isn't Prince Charming, I think it's Sir Robin", that might be an even more obscure reference.

  • @ChicagoSouthDan well, it wasn't referencing this movie itself, but just the fact that kermit is a well known frog.

  • @ChicagoSouthDan

HAHA ever watch Monty Python and the holy grail??? There is a Sir Robin in that. Hilarious.

  • @TheCrayonMaster Yes, I've seen that movie, and it's very funny. I had forgotten that there was a Sir Robin in that.

  • I'm in a play right now, and I play the frog prince, one of his lines is actually, "No, my name isn't Prince Charming, I think it's Kermit!" I was just doing some, er, research for the part.

  • King Graham?

  • omgosh...nostalgia wave much

  • Poor Melora

  • Poor Kermit

  • Poor Sweetums

  • Poor Taminella

  • This Is Taped From 1970

  • Poor Robin

  • A mountain of talent! XD That Robin sure is humble as well as dashing, isn't he? :P

  • @AlienAbandoned MMM HMM

  • Sir Robin's so humble too. LOL! I haven't seen this in years!

  • @Lammy4ever7 Me 2

  • i love singing robins song

"they call me sir robin the brave, and history one day will rave" I LOVE THIS

  • Rup...rup...budweiser he he

  • I used to listen to this on the record, way before CD were made.

  • @wii1245 You and me both, and I still have the record.

  • @ChicagoSouthDan Is it still in mint condition?

  • @wii1245 I've played it a few times over the years, so it is not in mint condition. However, the last time I played it (over ten years ago), it sounded fine.

  • @ChicagoSouthDan O I C

  • @wii1245 IDK

  • @ChicagoSouthDan I Don't

  • Wow! This bring back so many childhood memories! I used to watch this all the time. Those were the days...

  • I love this movie I have it on Video!!! And I actually liked Sweetiums !!

  • i was obsessed with this when i was little

  • This was the last appearance of Tamanella Ginderfall the witch and last time Jerry Juhl voiced a character, wasn't it?

  • how can you possibly dislike this?

  • Does anyone know if Trudy Young, the actress who portrayed Princess Melora, was in much else after this? I did not find much on her with an Internet search.

  • I love this!

  • I don't recall the Disney Channel airing Muppet related specials and shows recently, other than Muppet Wizard of OZ.

  • The funny thing ever is that the Witch looks like my Aunt Veronca....something me and my brothers realized very quickly as a child haha. she even laughs like my aunt and sounds like her too.

  • You wonderful person you! Many thx for this classic tale.

  • I LOVED this as a kid, it was so funny. I don't suppose you'd also have Tales from Muppetland: Muppet Musicians, would you? That was another favorite of mine as a child and we lost the tape long ago and I've never seen that one since.

  • I never understood why Robin's frog voice sounded nothing like his prince voice.

Also, I'm going on 18 year old this year, and this was one of my childhood favorites. I never realized how old this was when I was little! haha

  • I was seven years old when this came out. I memorized the record album syllable by syllable... obsessed! So wonderful to see this again. Thanks for posting!

  • I'm 28 and i feel a little old, i remmeber this. It came on all the time on nickoledon and then disney channel.

  • @heybaby205 If it makes you feel any better, I'm 31 and I remember watching this on Betamax!

  • @TomMSTie1138 That's nothin'. I'm 59, I remember watching the original on TV, and I still have the record of it. And when I say record, I mean record, not CD or tape. I was going to give the record to one of my nephews or my niece but I decided, since my nephews and niece had not seen it, they would not appreciate the record. Therefore, I got them something else and kept the record for myself. I am glad pirateA84 posted this. Part 3 of this is on my Favorites list.

  • @ChicagoSouthDan Oh trust me, I remember records. I had an original LP of Michael Jackson's Thriller. I really wish I still had it. :(

  • @ChicagoSouthDan You can convert it to MP3, then burn it onto CD. Purchase the Ion USB turntable(commonly known as record player) from The Source or Walmart. Install the software that comes with it, play the record and split sections of the story into tracks and then burn it on a CD. Then mail the CD to your nephews for them to listen to.

  • @wii1245 Since I am 59, my nephews are in their 40s now. Also, unless you have seen the TV version shown in these videos, I don't know if you would get much out of the record, even though Kermit narrates what is happening. However, it might be something for me to do for myself, since I have a number of records from that period and earlier. Also, two out of three of my nephews live within an hour's drive from me, so I could just give them the CD.

  • @wii1245 Thanks

  • @TomMSTie1138 I remember that a lil too

  • My grandma gave me this on VHS when I was three years old. Wow, this is such an old movie, and its still just as good.

  • I still have this movie in my VHS Tape collection. My father was switching channels when we were kids and found this movie for us to watch.

  • This movie made me love Kermit and made him my fav Muppet for all time. :)

  • Brave, brave Sir Robin... Sir Robin HOPPED away...

When danger reared it's ugly head he quickly turned away and fled!

BRAVE BRAVE BRAVE BRAVE Frog Robin(:

  • @tophat95 Hahahahaha! Awesome! :)

  • @tophat95 Right stop that! It's silly!

  • 8 people are Aunt Taminlia's or Sweetems!

  • I love this, where on earth did you find it? Ihave a 30 year old VHS of this that is in awful condition

  • @stevecindy44 you can buy it on amazon.com

  • I believe this is Robin the Frog's first appearance.

  • "A frog that can't swim?" XD i love kermits expression

  • Wow. He sure is cute as a Prince. He just has a bad cape.

  • Thank you for posting this. I used to have this movie on beta and haven't watched it since I was 3...I'm 25 now!!! Memories...

  • me too! I watched it all the time but it was so scary!

  • I love this film. Although nowadays I can't think of Sir Robin the brave. I think of Sir Robin the not quite so brave as Sir Lancelot who slew the vicious chicken of bristol and...you get the idea! : P

  • Kermit is a rockstar! I'd rather be right here watching him than the krap that passes for entertainment these days.

  • ive watched this movie so many times!!!! <3 it is the best!!

  • oh god, this movie used to scare me so bad.

  • this reminds me of my childhood

  • I wish disney would reissue some of these older muppet classics on DVD.

  • I wish I could have this version, i only have the vynle

    Li ove miss Thovie (lmao)

  • KERMIT!!! <3

  • I Still Have This Special on VHS!

  • ribbit

  • first apperance of robin the frog and sweetums

  • This brings back good memories

  • I saw this when it first aired, and I bought the record of it (not CD or tape but vynyl record) for my nephews. However, since they had not seen the show, I kept the record and got them something else. I still have the record. I haven't listened to the record in many years, but I remembered all the words to the "Sir, Robin the Brave" song. And I'm 58 years old, so that's kind of embarrassing :)

  • @ChicagoSouthDan I meant "vinyl" record.

  • omg I havent seen this movie since I was a kid!!!..thank you soooooo much!

  • I used to luv this movie!!!!

  • I wonder what happens to those people if they don't do what they are told to do when the king makes a joke or something like that... Are they never seen again? o.O

  • Ohmigosh!! I haven't seen this in forever!!!! i used to watch this all the time and totally forgot about it. I loved reciting the princesses lines. Thnx for uploading :)

  • OH my GOSH!! We rented this from the library when I was young! I would sing the song the princess sings over and over all day and pretend I was her! Wow, what great memories!

  • I woulda whacked the crap outta Sir Robin while he was singing if I was that orge. That orge wasted a hellva a opportunity. hehe

Thanx for postin' this I adore The Muppets!!!

  • I borrow this tape from my mom all the time! I can't wait until my daughter is old enough to enjoy it... ... fritty plowers!

  • I have a tape of Muppet version of fairy tales: King Midas, Rumplesiltskin, Elves & the Shoemaker, The Boy Who Cried Wolf, The Emperor's New Clothes, and The Three Little Pigs. Really good. :D Wish I had all of them though. :(

  • @MWolfL I love that tape, I have it on VHS

  • @MegaMovieTheater

I like the Rumplestiltskin one because it was one of the rare times Kermit actually loved Miss Piggy back, plus Gonzo made a great Rumplestiltskin.

  • @MWolfL That muppet classic theater that's 13 years later.

  • @collgoff

*13* years later?! Wow, time sure flies when you're watching fun stuff. Hard to believe that the Muppets have been around since the 50s/60s.

  • @MWolfL Yay I know!

  • @collgoff

Yeah, there's so much good stuff to watch. I have to get them all on DVD so that I don't have to stress out about YouTube not having a movie or episode and deleting ones I've already collected. Then of course there's the stupid new look of the playlists, they didn't even keep the 'remove' button on there and I can't transfer videos between playlists anymore! XP

  • omg i had this movie and litterally watched it until the poor tape fell apart. thank you so much

  • love it!!

  • OMGGGGGG

    you're awesome

    i love this movie

especially the song the lil frog sings to Sweetums

Once I did find it it is now impossible to get on DVD, and only sketchily available on LPs or VHS!! Bless you for posting. I adored this when I was a girl! • I totally want a screen cap of 8:21 where Robin's head is tilted and laying on the stone.

I haven't seen this movie in ages. Thank you for posting it. I loved Sweetums, Robin, Kermit, and Bean Bunny as a kid.

  • The 2nd and 3rd frogs to introduce themselves, their names are Wayne and Garth?!

  • I always love this movie. But watching it now, I just had to say this. When the witch talks about how he has to be kiss by a princess in order to break the spell, I had to quote spaceballs by saying:

    EVERYBODY GOT THAT?

  • WOW! I haven't seen this since I was a kid in preschool....brings back memories....ah the nostalgia...thanks for uploading it! :D
