I remember building a dynasty with the Phoenix Coyotes and I had Sergei Fedorov and Ron Hextall and Steve Yzerman and Brian Leetch and I brought Gordie Howe out of retirement...oh man that was fun. And I won the cup too. Season mode was kickass in 97.
People dont understand that in the 90's this game looked amazing and even better it was good gameplay. Im from Australia and we are obviously not into ice hockey but this game sold like hot cakes in Australia. Is one my favorite games even to this day and the memories with big battles against mates was awesome times
Hahaha I loved this game, especially the Brass Bonanza when you play as the Whalers. I never noticed til watching it now though how blindly/randomly the AI skates around
@DJKasumi5 lol holy shit buddy. thats a pretty radical opinion! todays games are more realistic? really?
you have to compare games to their peers. and this is way better than any MLB or NFL or NBA game on the snes and i like all those sports more than hockey
My friends and I played this endlessly for two years.. we had our own players.. our own words to the songs. and even though we would win our games 30-0 it was still fun.
This is the best game I ever played, all cathegories, never had more fun in front of a game, ever! Thank god I still have 2 intact snes controllers..!

I would murder people at this game. All you had to do is drive right into the goal and the puck would trickle in.

Why are people so into the old NHL game graphics i mean cmon sure they were great but NHL games today are better than this more realistic.
This is my opinion
