  • Where'd you get this DVD? I've searched all over, found no such DVD with this footage. :/ The only stuff I can find is Barcelona, New York 2001, Live in Dublin and Hyde Park (2009)... Please tell me where I can find more live footages? ^^

  • New Jersey boy,,,you know it,,,

  • Bruce nearly fired Max over his 'timing' issues, he spoke all about it in an old modern drummer interview. He actually went back for lessons.

  • vini is soooooo much better than max. even tho max is pretty awesome.

  • Go back and listen to the first two albums. Mad Dog couldn't keep a consistent tempo for shit. Max is THE BIG BEAT. MIGHTY MAX. He is a human metronome and that's why Max is in the band and not Mad Dog. And also Clarence probably would've murdered Mad Dog if he was still in the band.

  • haha thats true about clarence. and i know that max is wonderful at keeping time, which is an extremely hard thing to do. I just like vinis style better. Its more jazz/keith moon. He made the drums a kind of lead instrument and i think he had a kind of improvisational feel to him, which i like

  • Yeah I agree that Vini's style is more suited to earlier Bruce, like pre Born to Run. But can you imagine Vini on Darkness on the Edge of Town? Or can you imagine Max on Rosalita? Both very good drummers, I just think Max's heavy driving beat is more suited to Bruce now.

  • yea i no exactly what you mean.

  • I loved seeing mad dog Vinnie on the drums, the only thing missing was David Sancious. What a f***ng great show. The Tower Theatre on New Years Eve '75 is still embedded in my brain but this may be better because I can remember it ha ha.

  • @xjerseyboy55 I was at the Tower the night before. One of my all-time favorite Bruce shows. I always remember it. Even have the ticket stub & other memorabilia on top of my stereo cabinet.

  • Great stuff

  • one of the best privately covered concerts of bruce ive seen. thoght the clip of the elvis guy was brilliant on the gravestone of my father it says meet you in the land of hope and dreams at his service we had to talk the catholic church into playing if i should fall behind he passed away on oct 31st 2000. i took my mum to see him at hampden in glasgow in july .i will e maial you soon .meantime many thanks for sharing.god bless.

  • Nice Job Bruce --- putting Vini on Drums for Spirit was the smartest of moves -- Philly thanks you!!!

  • Vini "Maddog" Lopez doin' it just like the record! Loved it. Thanks!

  • should of done an AC/DC cover after this

  • ahhhhh, putting his mic in my face at "so we close our eyes and said goodbye" at 4:33 was amazing

  • Nice move also wearing the "Kangol" . setup for the next tour so he doesn't have to deal with "hair issues". It happend to match his shirt

  • Mad Dog Lopez on drums, class move...
