Sorry to shatter the illusion that this song is about 9/11 and if it works for you in that context jcallen then that's great but the song is actually about taking home your baby from hospital. If anyone else out there has ever known the love that is like nothing you have ever known, i.e the love you have for your children then you'll know what I mean.
Sorry to shatter your illusion, but the song is about maturing and finding true love. Listen to the lyrics a little closer. "where we can grow old together" The reference to baby are not about an infant, but to a lover.
YOU listen to the lyrics a littler closer. It doesn't say old together. It says, "where we can grow together". It refers to his daughter growing up, and him gaining maturity and strength now that he is a father. The first lines of the song should be a dead give away that he wrote this song for his first daughter. Furthermore, this song was written 6 months after his daughter was born, and at a concert in Memphis, he said "this one is for my daughter Anabelle."

This song is from the album "Inside Job". its about the collasp of the twin towers and the people who died there that day,the friends lost and the tragedy
used to listen to this number in the mornings when it came on, on a local station near the lake where I was staying at the time. It was a tough time. Didn't know where I was going to stay next. It was a comforting tune then. I picture being on the beach in my truck now listening to it. Peace and love in Jesus.
