Starcraft Ghost was going to be for consoles, this is on PC. Read the description, it even says it's from the SC2 map editor. They actually made this to show off the potential of the map editor.

@Tyetheberious Nah, it's all possible. I can attest to it. I've already seen mods able to ROUGHLY do this, however, given that it's the beta, this roughness is to be expected. I suspect as the mod community grows and as the retail version is released, we will see much better mods.

There are tons of other games out there that do a better job at this, the only reason SC2 was anticipated was because people got bored playing SC1. Gees it's a slightly modified WC3 engine with better textures, it's 2010 and this was the best Blizzard could come up with, the fucked up part is that even after all this people still like it, guess they can't learn to play something real like OF.

It's basically the same game but with newer graphics. Changes to gameplay are almost unnoticeable. Few units were removed and others were added so what... big deal. I can't even get the Templars to merge like they used to in SC1...

@perfusus haha did you even play the first one? there is huge difference in mechanics (the game is alot easier to play then the first one) alot of importance has been swung to macro isntead of micro. there is only one unit who can shoot and move at the same time and so on tough templars work the same way as they did in starcraft 1

Doesn't matter how long they worked on it, what matters is the time it passed from the previous release, considering all the technology advances have been made since the first version came out, Blizzard should have made something a bit more compelling than this, instead they came out with SC2 as it is gambling at the chance that people would play it because of the reputation the first game had. If this was a game all by itself it wouldn't even compare to some of the other strategies out there.

Don't have time to fiddle around with map editors. Still for a game that comes out in 2010 it lacks a lot of basic things like... 360 degree rotation, gees i'm repeating myself. Maybe Diablo III would be a little bit better, i hope at least there i can do a simple thing like rotate around my character.

@sageslarres You misunderstood me, i don't want to zoom i want to rotate. It's a pain in the ass sometimes to see what you are doing and especially if there are a lot of "decorations" in the place, having the ability to rotate the map gives the player a better perspective of the battlefield. Also it's clear that there is room to add more buildings and units, don't know why Blizzard didn't do it, maybe in a future patch or something they will ad some new stuff, not just copy the old ones...
