  • Can you show a tutorial with diamond skin like this of the vampire in movie twilight?

  • Where do you get these images??

  • Thank you for yet another great tutorial.

  • can you tell me how to get a photo that was once large, that has been shrunken and stretched again...looking very pixelized, back so that its not pixelized any more? (i dont have the original photo any more :( )

  • dont work instagasm

  • aw man :(

  • Get rid of the eraser tool, Photoshop!

  • my thoughts too

  • cool

  • you showed us advantages of smart objects...

i'm wondering should we convert every layer into smart object ?

or does it have some disadvantages ? for example : it slows down pc, take longer to recalculate, or psd files are 2xbigger.. so use it for layers which you know you will be rescaling / manipulating often ?

    some advice on this ?

  • COOL there are so many tools that I have No idea what are their Use.for !

Thank you Please do more of these tools video..

  • howard you forgot to talk about the burn tool how in PS CS4 the burn tool is no longer destructive like in CS3

  • You have the best tutorial!

  • no wonder they're called "smart" objects...

  • thanks for this video!

  • Cool, that's pretty handy :)

  • How did you get the middle things when you make the picture smaller ?

  • Lately your tutorials have become way too easy for me.. is there any news of future videos with a higher difficulty?

  • Yes. Working on something big. :)

  • Great! Can't wait ^_^

  • that child is cute!

  • You can describe things so easy! I'm subscribing you from now on. Thanks dude!

    Greeting from Germany

    5*

  • i hate it when i do to much and then i press Ctrl Alt Z but there is a limit how much you can step backwards...

  • history brush? :D

  • You can adjust the settings for the steps to as high as 1000 steps i believe.

  • woah! ok, i understand the smart object part of this tutorial but how do paint the grass blue without changing the grass or the bench?

  • he used the brush in "color" mode, which does usually not effect white or black in an image. Green (and every other color) does, that's why the grass is blue but the bench isn't. hope that helped!

  • no

he simply didnt paint the chair...no 'color mode' whatever..notice he even painted part of it blue

  • Even if he painted the chair... all of the white parts would have remained white.... the parts that turned blue changed because those pixels had a color value to change. ie grey/ off white

  • sure the blending mode is "color", have a look at the brush settings if you don't believe me ;)

  • His brush was on blending mode: Color

    ;)

  • thanks man )) u helped me a lot )))

  • How do you paint the grass without colouring it completely? like the way you could still recognize its grass

  • that was kinda cool huh

  • Awesome video!

  • dude how did you color the grass blue without coloring the bench?

  • he only painted it with brush tool

  • i guess he chose Color as brush mode, which supposedly doesn't affect white. however, you can see a but of blue on the legs.

  • he did coulor the bench!

  • Thats probably useful, but I have old photoshop so I can only dream about those options :(

  • *whispering* there is download out there, in my opinion,if you are not using it to make money, then download it!

  • yeah, I know, but I'm to lazy because downloading it will take some time ;)

  • well, download through torrent, you'll be downloading it, you can stp whenever you want and start whenever you want.

  • hehehe the baby is so cute

  • 2:32 xD u gotta work on that word pixels x] ....

  • i don't know if it is just me, but all the video's i watch on youtube today are really low quality and i can't seem to change it.

  • it's not just you... every video is like that now... i guess youtube is trying to fix something currently :/

  • think it's just you. the vids i watch are okay

  • Good to know, thanks mate !

  • I have known about smart objects for quite a while, but I did not know that you can add the filters as layers. That can be quite helpful.

BTW: If you duplicate a smart object layer, and make say, 100 copies of that layer, if you were to edit the smart object, the changes will aply to all layers. very helpful.

  • You said "pickels" instead of "pixels" at2:32 ROFL

  • lol Shutmeupxproductions, that was pretty funny

  • LMFAO yeah haha

  • i think his hungry..lol

  • Wow! That's awesome!

  • thats one cool thing about filters

  • Thanks for the info :)

Now I can modify my image size without affecting their pickles xD

  • use the buttons:

    [ = brush size decreases

    ] = brush size increases

  • WHOA! Thats soo cool! Thanks man :). I really wish they bring filter layers for all layers in the next release. That would be awesome.

  • OHHHHHHHHHH. I always wondered what that was for.

  • OH MY GAWD ITS A BABAY! :D

  • sweet baby ... :D

  • Hey Howard!

    Nice tutorial as usual

But I have an important question!

    You use a Mac.

But usually in Photoshop (on a Mac) the wallpaper from the desktop is used underneath all the windows... How do you manage that it looks just like the photoshop on Windows?

  • There are some buttons in CS4 (as far as I can remember CS3 doesn't have this) along the top for view options and so on, near the zoom/hand pan buttons. Check those out. It's actually more productive once you get used to having the wallpaper in the background believe it or not. When you're multitasking in other apps and need say a colour swatch from say an InDesign document to match the image with the colour sceme, you can use the dropper and click it without having to screen dump and so on.

  • Thank you so much!! :)

    You're really nice!!

  • i didn't realize this about that tool. I've always used it to stack blending options on top of each other (add blending option, conver to smart, re-rasterize, and you can add a new set of blending options).

  • Yeah! Thanks dude ! Makes web sites easyer to create bigger and smaller to. ;D Helped me much ! Thanks!
