  • @hinesboy15 do u even ply tuba to know....and i will have fun crabbing cuz for me its a new experience for me and i knw hard work pays off

  • @bigshow2cool what is a core band? I've never heard of this core....

  • @thesousabone my bad corps style band lol!

  • @thesousabone look at some DCI bands then you will know what core bamds are

  • @TheDragonmaster18 I have marched drum corps. I was simply pointing out that it was corps not core.

  • horrible

  • i hate it when ppl argue about whether its a tuba or a sousaphone, because yeah we get it its a damn sousaphone, but if ur in a band ur not gonna be like "oh hey look, its the sousaphones!" its a fucking waste just say tuba. its a tuba just in a different shape..

  • @PianoManTyler anyone who actually love their instrument and embrace its roots will call it a sousaphone without J.P. Sousa we will be marching tubas LITERALLY or converts which is not a good look! so i pay homage to John Philip Sousa and call it a what it is a sousaphone not a tuba come on it is only 2 more syllables, are people that lazy? but it doesn't make a difference if you are calling someone a tuba player or a sousaphone player because more than likely they play both!

  • @PianoManTyler It's called a sousaphone. Regardless of what the people who aren't in the band call it (What makes you think I care what they call it?!), the inventor of the instrument called it a sousaphone. Your username reflects that you have SOME musical background in the piano, and pianists insist on calling them keyboards, vibraphones, harpsichords, and E-pianos, so what makes it okay for you to bash Sousaphones?

  • @Ender231 *John Philip Sousa invented the sousaphone...i agree. i hate when people call sousaphones tubas..we are different! :0

  • @PianoManTyler Actually, it's specialized helicon ordered by Sousa because he was unsatisfied by the helicons used in the military bands of the day and wanted a helicon that could sound like concert instruments of the day.

  • @PianoManTyler but its not a tuba but rather a sousaphone if I called a bass clarinet a clarinet it wouldn't be politically correct. But I understand where your coming from like a Eflat and Bflat Trumpet.

  • a fanfare would be pointless if it had tone and wasnt loud

  • ummmm that's what maks its sound good

  • no thats what makes it different

  • i can tell you a swac player

  • @zoloterry you know with a little bit of development you can play loud AND with good tone.

  • wow.... I love tone. I'm gonna switch videos now so I can hear some.

  • i agree!!! didnt even listen to 20 seconds of it

  • @thesousabone hahah

  • if you really want to learn how to play tuba/sousaphone kennyk is the one to teach u playa

  • look to me, tuba or sousaphone, it doesn't matter they are the same but at the same time different. I'm a music major so it really doesn't matter to me, i jus play it. Reppin Alcorn tuba section to the fullest.

  • HEEEELLLL NNNOOOO!!!!! If yall boyz go to Mississippi or Louisiana , they'll teach yah how to play the tuba!!!!!

  • hell no they need to come to virginia

  • im surprised people are wasting their time arguing whether you should use a generalized term for an instrument. you dont hear saxophonist belly aching when someone calls their soprano sax just sax do you...hey let's just enjoy the videos all these tubas and sousaphones place on here and stop worrying about being so darn adament about perfecting the name of tuba...sheesh you think you were compensating for something...

  • for real...i can hear you on the sax thing cause I plat the tenor and they say either sax or mini trombone since I play parts similar to the trombones...

  • i know it's a sousaphone. im gonna call it a tuba.

  • MY nigga Brian i see ya. H-Town nigga

  • please stop calling sousaphones tubas

    please

  • a sousaphone is a form of tuba...they're about the same thing...

  • The only difference is that the shape, and normally Sousaphones have larger bells to be louder

  • oh,I didn't know that...^^

it's just annoying to search for tuba pieces on youtube and to see a marching band

    -with sousaphones

they've got their own name for a reason

and the reason is: to differ between them.

    understand?

    thanks

  • Yea i understand, pretty much the only difference is the level of volume that is normally played on it, although I'd rather watch Tube, because i won't be picking up a sousaphone in about 2 years, I still really like to watch them both

  • well are sousaphones look just like that and they are sousaphones

  • famu tubas woop yall ass's

  • ok what the fuck aren't these sousaphones, not tubas?

  • only pansies use padding

  • a dat niga on da mello in da back sucks

  • aye mane these nigga sum hatas mane

  • Hahahahahahah

  • ur a nigger

  • how bout we wasnt even really playin. it was five in the morning and we was just screwin around. we anit even know we was gettin taped!! get off our nutz and holla at us when we actually playin

  • Bruh don't trip to be a small band yall tubas was blowing people don't know what they talking about

  • Don't get me wrong Tuskegee tubas have gotten better. But they still suck

  • TU u kno

  • Now this is the section that cranked on Horsepower. Yeah right.

  • how bout it was 5 in the morning!! and as a witness in the tunnel yall did get cranked on!!!

  • How about this sounds like trash, and as a witness to what went down in the tunnel, Tuskegee sounded like trash then too.
