was just looking for some inspiration ... and started jamming for one and a half hour after 1 minute watching your video...maybe i can watch ur full lesson someday :)...and learn something ;) thx again and again
man i was sitting in front of my computer with my guitar.. i just wanted to play something you know to stave off boredom nothing special but i was so tired that my fingers literally didn't move so i figured this day sucks and put my guitar back on the wall..then i came across your video, started playing what you play and it made my day!:D thanks for the lesson:)
That's for the lesson. I use to not be much of a country music listener, but lately I've really been into it. Trying to explore new music and learn new guitar tricks and I love the finger picking of country music and the licks. Great video!
I kind of want to get into fingerpicking like you do... What gauge of strings would you suggest for my acoustic? 10? 11? I'm thinking you're becomming my favourite youtube guitarist. I unsubscribed for a while when I kinda got back into metal, but I started listening to Bob Dylan and Mark Knopfler so I'm back with real music... I grew up! lol
Suggestion - us old timers may know what your doing from years of blood, sweat and tears - but it might not be as clear to younger players... so... why not setup 2 cameras - one to show left hand, one to show right? Just a thought.
I keep coming across your vids - which are excellent - you were the only guitarist to explain 'whistlers' so I could do 'em - but gotta disagree with 1414danger about digits - now Segovia had BIG fingers- like a bunch of bananas - your extremities seem perfectly normal - unlike Jimmy Hendrix's - whose were huge apparently.
I seen one of your video's earlier sawlon with the hendrix lick, and u said how u forget over the years and kinda throw ur own style on top of it, thats only to true with self taught guitarist's. I never had the internet to pick these kinda tips up, so i was like self taught by ear alone. I was always shy to play aswell and lacked confidence so I never really had the opportunity to jam with anyone. When u learn the hard road u certainly see how invaluable these lill clips are. Fantastic stuff.
Nice man you teach the type of shit you just pick up jamming with someone better than you. Little riffs like these add to my "riff library" and make me a much better guitar player. Anyone can repeat a tab they read online, but this is the type of stuff you can improv with.
thank u so much sir..i learn much from you ^^
