I have always been fond of this song, but you have brought if to life for me. You obviously have a beautiful family (& friends), and somehow it waxes universal. I will continue to watch your video (and have watched it) again and again.
pirrung123, thanks for remembering such an amazing and gifted talent and human being. His music sinks to the abyss of my soul and the apogee of my hearts rejoicing. His touch of humanity expressed the full breath of what it was to be origional and yet so common to who we all are. I believe he makes the case for a heavenly afterlife. No one deserved it more. God speed Harry. Thanks again pirrung123.
I posted this on my Fbook today to remember all those who were lost on 9/11 ten years ago. I said that, in that instant before death, all of us see the same snapshots of our lives....friends, family, dogs we have loved.
I might also mention that I knew Harry Nilsson.....and this song is the one I hear in my head always when I think of him.
What a song and what a singer. Harry was the only singer in his era I think could have pulled off the style of music he was into and make it work amid the rock n roll etc. He loved the old standards and used to sing them for his mom when he was little. Had it a bit rough when he was a lad from what I understand. I miss that guy and though I didn't even know him, my heart goes out to him. Thanks for posting this.
We were trying to of name for the band and one afternoon we were shooing off fire crackers and i opened a new pack and this pack had blue fuses on on it :o)
So very well done. (weeping weeping) I used same song for a video slide show for my mom and dad's 50th wedding anniversary. You really have some amazing and sweet images. Love the photo booth pictures. Wonderful.

I cry like baby whenever I am brave enough to listen to this sweet song.........did you love your parents? if so then "remember"......can you still dream of your children as young sweet innocents then "remember"... did you once love a partner and they are no longer there..then "remember" this song is so heartfelt that it turns me inside out with feelings of love long lost yet always "remembered" ."life is nothing but a Dream" Thanks Harry...we will miss you forever and will always REMEMBER.

I never knew I knew Nilsson until the movie "You've Got Mail" put it together for me. Everytime my wife put it on, I grew increasingly curious and finally tracked down a greatest hits or similar collection; wiki'd him and discovered I want to learn more about the artist.
My dad used to sing 'Put the lime in the coconut and drink it all up.' and we used to wonder where that came from. O' course, I found, but it was only this past summer. lol!

I love Harry' music. This is first time I have heard this one, though. I love the movie "The Point". I purchased it on DVD from CD Universe...superb quality. My 5 year old granddaughter has been enjoying this movie for over a year and watches it over and over again. It has a wonderful message for children. Actually, I remember when it first played on TV in the 70's and we all sat around the black & white and watched it.
Nice photo collage of your life with a great tune from a great singer. I envy this in a good way of speaking. You got to live in the good music time. Thanks for sharing with the world.
I'd forgotten this song... it is quite beautiful... and thanks to whoever posted this and put in pictures from their life... it could almost be my life, too.

O' course, I found, but it was only this past summer. lol!
This makes my 'Favorite' list. Thank you!

@autumnbowler Thanks! I tried checking out the library system for it, but no luck. I'll keep an eye out for it.

How can you love Harry and not know this song? Thats like saying you love John Lennon but never heard Imagine.

The Last Innocent Man was our Harry. Not who he was but what he represented. Like Marcello Mastroiani and Jimmy Stewart.
