Hey i was wondering i'm going to schroon in a week and want to catch a lake trout any tips to catch them thanks. you use a downrigger and any place that they like to be at drop offs or stuff like that. thanks
we fish right in front of the beach at eagle point camp grounds, we handl-ine and do not use any down riggers. LArge spoons have not been working this past week small spoons are doing better catching fish at about 65 feet.

It looked like the middle of the day but it was early moring 6:30 am to 9:30 am.
The lead core line get s the line to the bottom along with the spoon.
