In my opinion, all of Mellon Collie is monotonous, but in a good way. I know it's weird, but that's how i feel about it. It's powerful in sound, depressing in energy. I think Billy does an awesome job of expressing the energy in a particular song, and he does the energy of this one exactly how the instrumentation expresses, low key, but with energy. Watch Gossamer and say he doesn't have energy. Or Heavy Metal Machine. Or Glass and the Ghost Children. Or They Only Come Out at Night.

Billy IS the Smashing Pumpkins. Okay, on Mellon Collie, out of the 28 songs chosen for album, 26 of those were Billy's, while James had 1 - the other song was made by both Billy and James.

Adore - Darcy stated that it was practically a Billy Corgan solo album. So sadly, the other band members didn't contribute too much, mainly because Billy wouldn't let them. And that's why he's known as a tyrant, bless him.

I don't think so at all. Jimmy's drums are what made me love this band. He's definitely the most talented musician in the band. While the music he writes is catchy and makes great songs, Billy doesn't write difficult-to-play music. On the other hand, Jimmy's drumming puts the majority of his songs fairly high up on the scale of difficulty.
