Josh Lewsey on Danny Cipriani's decision to play in Australia

Please England WAKE UP! and get Cipriani back playing for England. If the people who's job it is to nurture our best players waste the opportunity, they should not be in the job. Having seen the first two games of the Six Nations and heard so much about how well we tackled, I'm bored. Tackling is a basic. How about getting the ball and cauterising the opposition. Cipriani if given the chance could galvanise England like 1970's Wales, the glittering kings(style/atitude+winning)of world rugby.

if he sorts his defence out he has the ability to nail down the 10 for England. Unfortunately i've seen him playing for the Rebels recently and he's still making silly mistakes, England are better off with Flood atm.

Cipriani is ahead of his time. He is the answer to Johnny Wilkinson ageing and as the Rugby World Cup showed with England's early exit to France, Cipriani can chortle down-under at the short-sightedness of Martin Johnson not to include him. The fact the the England RFU chooses to exclude players who play abroad is a pathetic. If Danny plays long enough in Melbourne he'll be playing for the Wallabees...now that'd be funny!

Very well said. Im an Australian and Cipriani will be great in the Super rugby especialy with the ever growing counter attack in the southern hemisphere.

You cant be mad at the guy for leaving. Martin Johnson would be amain reason because he obsessed with trying to play the style that he played and that style is dated and will not win a world cup.

This will be great for English rugby in the long run

@DonoJD yeah man, he keeps giving players stick to wanting to play somewhere other than england, but i mean english premiership rugby is pretty dull, and theres more money to be had elsewhere like france or the southern hemisphere.if i were a pro it be out of england in no time.
