WAIT a minute ... the cops saw the stolen goods and assumed Rupert and Growler stole them, right? So how come the real theives still left with them?!?! Didn't they know it wasn't their things?!?! Some police they are...
Looks like Constable Growler is the only good cop Ruperts world has. Maybe the other constables should retire and let more intelligible people take their places.
@ShrivyShrivey I don't think Robinson and Baverstock should be blamed for doing their jobs based on the way the evidence was presented to them. Rupert and Growler happened to be unfortunate that the note they left on the dock flew away, so how else was the motorboat's owner supposed to think of the situation? Besides, Growler wasn't even on duty either, so this episode ends up reversing his role in Little Yum episode, for which Robinson rubs in his face at the end.
@vamvezerium Quite the contrary, they shood b blamed. A cop is tellin another cop 2 her face wut has hapened & is tryin 2 xplain & they just assume he stole a boat & wont listen to him. If things hapened ware it looked like an officer was doin a crime, u need 2 listen 2 wut he says becuz mayb there was sumthin hapenin much, in this case worse then takin sum1s boat (& theboat taking was ment 2 help get 2 the worse problem) I can see if it was just rupert takin the boat but a cop was with him.
if i was the contable and rupert i would have asked the cops for my fogiveness and maybe some insentives for hinderence in solving the case and an unfit cop with poor judgement in the village should not be on duty, what jackass' they dont even feel bad for making rupert and the constable have a hard time trying to get the real thief. Just because of all the Cops stupidity and mistakes they would have let the real thiefs get away for good!
@juliusmanapul You know, it's one thing for the writers of episodes to make a television show as exciting as possible, but in a real life situation, perhaps it's more of a civilian duty to simply call the police and report the boat thieves instead of taking matters into your own hands. The only reason why Robinson went after Rupert and Growler was because they "borrowed" a motorboat, but the owner however didn't get to read the note because it blew off the dock and floated away.
