I so miss Bob Sheppard, as going to a Yankees game will never be the same without him. He was pretty much the last link to the new gone Yankee Stadium, but at least he thankfully didn't completely go away, thanks to Derek Jeter having the recording of Bob Sheppard announcing his name at every home game. Long live Bob Sheppard, and you may be gone, but will never be forgotten by anyone!

The greatest pa announcer of all time has passed. Nobody did a better job than Bob. Went to a couple of yankee games in the late nineties and I will never forget that voice. As a die hard Dodger fan and yankee hater I can't hate Bob Shepard. He announced yankee games like no other and the yanks were blessed to have him. May he rest in peace.

Bob Sheppard was my favorite announcer of all time. His voice was just unique and he called so many historic games. RIP Mr. Sheppard.

Not a Yankee fan, In fact I hate the Yankees. Live in NY. That Derek Jeter asked Bob Sheppard (who was like 97 at the time) to record his introduction so HE could use it for the rest of his career is the one of the coolest things ever!
