  • What a fraud, Timbaland is a talentless hack, plus he's black, black people have no values and are thieves.

  • Comment removed

  • RIGHT! blablablablaZzZzZzZblabalbalablab RIGHT! blablablablablablalblalblb... RIGHT! RIGHT! blablablablabla RIGHT!

  • arrogant untalented fuck

  • "Its from a video game, idiot". Fuck. How I understand that is that I can pirate Timberland "music" whenever I want. Its from a CD, idiot! Why can't you just give credit where credit is due?

  • so basically he stole the music. He did something far worse than people who pirate or download pirated information. He ripped off someone's work, made money off it, and then took credit for it having represented himself as the creator of the work. That's straight up plagiarism. Tenure-track professors are fired for stuff like that.

  • i didnt steal it i borrowed it. this is redicolous. the hell wrong with them. Timbaland you fuckin suck. You bucked that nigga protools. wtf.

  • @ATENakaATON Your words - "he made things which sounded good, because he knew what sounded good". I rest my case. Have a good one.

  • @chestveeg "he made things which sounded good, because he knew what sounded good," is like saying anyone who likes a popular song has musical talent, I recently heard a great song, boy I sure am talented because I can recognize it sounds good lol, your a complete dipshit

  • @ATENakaATON Ultimately his sampling this song without permission means nothing to his legacy. The man is a great producer. For example my favorite song of his "Ice Box". The way he uses the sound of a clock for a kick and adds a sweeping spacey sound creates a feeling of a desert wasteland with eons of time passing by. Greatness in my opinion. Also Rhianna's "Rehab" and "Sell me Candy" are great. He has to many to count.

  • @chestveeg his legacy is a hussle, it's not musical talent, he made things which sounded good, because he knew what sounded good, not because he was good, the man is entirely reliant on the work of others, because he can't write, play, or even comprehend music with serious depth

  • @GhettoChildTaZ Another thing I don't understand is why people make such a big deal about this one song when he produced like 4 radio smash hits on the same album without samples. It's just stupid.

  • @chestveeg because they wish it was them. lol

  • come to yo house take yo pro tooss lol!

  • timbawho?

  • "you heard it somewhere, so you can just sample it" LOL What a dick..

  • Can you believe this fool? Totally rediculous.

  • LOL u stole it u cunt.... bahahahhahaha give credit were credit is due cunt..... simple...

  • Lying thief, nothing else... wait: Untalented lying thief! Go and get musicians their money!

  • fuck u idiots Timbaland is the man.let the little guy get his little lawsuit money u think timbaland gives a shit lol

  • @Tuff22 Your an idiot!

  • @Tuff22 word up lol if ppl wanna complain then complain about EVERY producer that does the SAME EXACT THING

  • @GhettoChildTaZ fuck all producers who sample, period

  • @ATENakaATON Woah woah woah. Sampling is a well respected and legitimate artistic tool of its own. DJ Shadow's "Endtroducing..." is made almost entirely of credited, non-original samples that he turned into fresh, new songs. If this asshole Timbaland wanted to do this the right way, he would have credited the composer, the actual musical talent, behind this song, but all he did is slap some drum samples over it and call it his own. His only foul was not crediting.

  • @bobertjr3 I never said it wasn't respected, but the Nazi's were respected at one point too and today Israeli Zionism is respected but it's still wrong. Now I'm not telling anyone not to sample (legally) either, however factually sampling is not a creating music because it is entirely reliant on other people who actually play music, if you aren't physically playing music with an instrument your not creating music. It is technically a musical talent, but its modification, not creation.

  • @ATENakaATON People can create music with e.g. the help of computers, so one doesn't have to play an actual instrument to make music. But yeah, sampling itself isn't creating music, and nowadays anyone can sample.

  • @autotunepop the computer and it's program would be the instrument, I see what your saying, but I still consider it playing just in a different way, it is not the tool I see as a problem, it's the method of using other peoples notes which they played and recorded

  • @autotunepop I'll put it like this, a hammer can be used as a instrument of murder but that doesn't mean that is its only use, the computer with the music program is an instrument which can be used to create music by putting in notes and pushing play to hear them or you can copy and paste the work of others and modify it, you can create or sample, I have no problem with the tool/instrument used, it's how it's used, that is sampling and calling it creation when you didn't create

  • @ATENakaATON Yeah. Nowadays a lot of people seem to just sample others work, while they could create the sampled materials theirselves, like some people did in the 80's and 90's. Today also many call stealing someone's song just "sampling", which is quite ridiculous.

  • @autotunepop I agree which is why I consider sampling a regression in the intelligence of (general) music, I'm not saying people shouldn't like it, it's not my place to tell anyone what to feel or be, but modern music and people have dumbed down to a point people who have to sample what others have created because it's too complex for them to do are called musical geniuses. They have no understanding of music and don't what to which in of itself is disrespectful to those they sample

  • @ATENakaATON hahahahahahaaha obviously you've never sampled anything

  • @87687696 I have actually and was surprised by how easy it was, you obviously haven't tried learning instruments

  • @87687696 simple fact is you sample because your not intelligent and/or creative enough to break out some instruments and write and play your own music, it would be one thing to sample sounds, like say an automobile wreck, or a door closing, the wind, dogs barking, etc. things you can't play on an instrument, but you take the music written and played showing how untalented you are, you leech off the talent of others and even with all that it's still too hard for you, you suck that much

  • @ATENakaATON haha, i bet you are a producer who is very frustrated cause you don't have any talent yourself and didnt accomplish ANYTHING with it. EVERY hiphop producer i know (and believe me that's a lot) knows that it's actually a lot harder to sample music, i'm not talking about 4 or 8 bar loops but really sample music. funny you say i suck though... you don't even know my music and there are THOUSANDS of people that will disagree with you

  • Comment removed

  • @87687696 "your" music is mostly the work of others who do what you can't, when you can do what the people you sample do, then you can speak on the difficulty of sampling, your only saying it's hard because it's hard for you, but in contrast with people who play instruments like the giant intelligence of Phil Collins your a mental midget of music

  • Comment removed

  • Well folks, THIS IS HOW IT WORKS, Average guy, "samples" like timbaland does, and then earns money from it, YOU GO TO JAIL OR PAY A HEAVY FINE, or both, but these pop artists do it, its cool cos they have money and fans wch buy into the bullshit coming out of their mouths and stick up for them.

Fact is, this guy STOLE from them, end of, now any money he earned from his ripped off tune needs to be paid to the real creators.

  • @clitmint well actually they have teams of people that get the samples cleared for them and most of the time the original artists get paid. Some of the time the original artist cud care less its the production companys that care cuz they want their cut. Why not be angry at the labels for not givin artists their real cut from their records?

  • open minded thieve x)

  • oh god wud yall shut the hell up? anyone on here that says theyve never rocked to a timbaland record is a DAMN LIAR lets keep it 100. timbaland makes awesome records containing unique samples that NOONE else thinks of.. People calling him talentless..get behind a keyboard or an mpc and make something as hot as his then u can talk UNTIL THEN STFU and GTFOH

  • @GhettoChildTaZ ofc people dance to it. IT WAS ALREADY GOOD WHEN HE STOLE IT.

  • @SimonSayzMusic so if u dont like timbaland cuz he "stole the sample" then dont listen to hip hop or rock at all. Because 95% of all music contains some form of sampling or interpolation. People just put their own spin on things plain and simple

  • @SimonSayzMusic ok so if u dont like timbaland for "stealing" then dont listen to 90% of music (rap rock tech etc) because it all contains samples or some type of interpolation. Sampling is an art. Anyone that says "ohh anyone can do that"....is broke and probably frustrated and posting hatin ass videos like this...

  • PAY the orginal you sampled from...you did steal his beat...NOT your own sample...which he created..

  • worst definition of sampling ever.

  • Jesus, according to this twat's definition of "sampling" I'll just take one of his beats, layer a synth on top, then release it is a dance track. I'd get sued to high heaven. What a pathetic person.

  • Timbaland is openly admitting he is a music pirate. The RIAA should sue him to high heaven!!

  • According to Timbaland, he flipped the Casio demo. That's the kind of thing you do when you just purchased a new instrument and are screwing around with the knobs. It would be lazy to release that..

  • Timbo def didnt flip that sample in no skilled way as a matter of fact both him and swizz beats are not good at sampling they straight Plagiarize. Maybe all beatmakers should download tons of timbaland samples and instrumentals and straight Jack his stuff...LOL

  • Timbaland should have given the original composer credit when this all came out....or he should of settled atleast with some form of compensation.....I think the Janne suni guy had all right to come out, any one of us including timbaland himself would have behaved the same way if we heard a big hit single with our composition in it

  • what a stupid asshole ¬¬

  • what a lowlife common thieving scumbag. he could at least admit it.

  • What a cockshaft. Talentless fuck.

  • when you press "record" on your sid station and take the entire melody, this is not sampling. it's plagiarism.

  • All producers sample. This is nothing new.

  • Don't rip music done by Commodore64 musicians, SUCKER !!!!!!

  • Lame Timaland retard. Stealing is taking the file, sampling is recoding a piece and using it as soounds. Lame f*ck ripping someone of is taking a full section and claiming it to be theirs.

NOTHING F*CKING EVER is public domain unless it says so. If you didn't see anything stating it was free to use, the assumption must be that it's NOT!

Being American does not equal legally entitled to rip foreigners off.

  • Nothing is public domain as long as the composer is alive (or dead for 70 years) DUDE!

  • Haha, he's obviously lying. It wasn't sampled like he says, for someone to actually hear the tune and recreate the same exact sounds with the same notes, it's impossible.

  • Timbadick: "Com' oon man... I'm good..." Radiohost: "Buhaahahahahahahahah"

  • Timbercunt

  • WOW Timbaland sucks fat monkey cock daily he sounds like a fuckin idiot

  • We should all sample his tracks and make money and use the arguments against such piracy against him in court. We could all be rich!

  • i wonder what happen with this case who won the case?

  • PS this dude doesn't even Sample, because Sampling is legal, this guy straight preforms thievery

  • @ATENakaATON try it if its so easy ull be rich!! and famous!! or mayb its not that easy...

  • @GhettoChildTaZ What makes you think I'm not rich now? As for fame, that would be a total curse, the idea of not being able to go anywhere without a heap of hassle. I don't want to be known by the world, truth is the richest people are relatively obscure in reference of the common man and they prefer it that way. Fame is a ball and chain, don't buy into the hype, it's also incredibly expensive, because of the money you have to spend on security.

  • @GhettoChildTaZ ps it is that easy, the hard part is the hussle, not the "music"

  • @ATENakaATON how do you know im not musically diverse?? i play 4 instruments and produce rock hip hop and dubstep. i grew up listening to everythhing from old 70s funk to yanni my g. Sorry that comment is a lil offensive to me brah and calling me short-sighted? heh u have know idea about the scope of my musical knowledge.

  • @GhettoChildTaZ because of what you typed and the idiocy behind the idea sampling brings people to new genres, and what you listed was pop music, short sighted

  • @ATENakaATON And to say it is that easy?? cmon man if it was that easy there wud be no timbaland cuz everyone wud be doing it. theres more to it then looping the sample and putting drums over it. Plain and simple timbaland started from the bottom and worked his ass off. Give the man some credit.

  • @GhettoChildTaZ playing and writing music is hard which is why so few are doing it, sampling is easy so everyone is doing it, there are a lot of producers and "their" work sounds good, after all all they have to do is modify something which already sounds good so it can be rapped over, they just don't know how to hustle, hip hop is all about the hustle and a minute amount talent, once you can get the people's faith your on easy streak, faith is the crucible of hustling

  • @ATENakaATON my point being, Timbaland is a great hustler, but a musician he aint, pop music has always been more about the hustle than anything else

  • Oh, it's just from a video game? Yeah, that bullshit "video game" made you a million dollars.

He puts out this attitude like people are asking him to make money off of what they did for free. That's why the ghetto is what it is.

  • I bet he's the first one bitching around when someone is sampling him or downloading tracks he produced.

  • Timbaland is jackin for beats.

  • @OBSysteme Ain't no such thing as black music. The music that came out America is just that American music. Not black or white. The cold hard truth is the music would simply not exist if not for Europeans either who co-influenced it with the African Americans. Even Hip Hop has its influences from the Scottish settlers who came here.

  • @Supernaturalalisa True, though it wasn't blacks who called it 'black music' at first, it was white racists who told told white people not to listen to that "negro shit" and told blacks it was rubbish. Recall those old bans on playing anything above an 'E' in the 20's & 30's. So it was really forced on blacks to take the music. Parallels the reasons why 'mixed race' people came to be simply considered 'black'.

So I think Black people taking whole ownership is to be somewhat excused.

  • Some peopLe miss the concept... Go Look at Andy WarhoLs "paintings" then come back and caLL TimbaLand aLL these names...... Not onLy him but I mean-- Frank Shepard Fairey and his "OBEY" CLothes... Barack Obama's "hope" painting...

I mean-- I'm not defending him, I'm just saying... Broaden your horizons a LittLe bit foLks...

  • @PhiLosofee1 well said

  • So basically, I can hear Timbaland on the radio...recreate his beat and claim I don't know him so it's perfectly fine?

  • So his logic is: as long as you don't know who the person's name is you can steal from him?

  • I love Timbaland's music, I really do. But after this, I have ZERO respect for him. Sorry Timbaland, I can't purchase your music after this. Sampling's one thing, but this is stealing. He didn't just take a clip from the song, he took the whole melody from it and didn't even change it. Sorry bud, but you stole their music, and until you acknowledge the original composer, you won't be getting my money. Not like you need it, but it's the principle of it.

  • Wow. How can such a CUNT be so COCKY?? lol He sounds like such a moron. Proof that one needs NO education to make it in the music business. lol smh

  • His stupidity is on totally new level.

  • He could've paid a royalty. I mean That SID tune has been on High Voltage SID collection repository long before he used it, and he used "sampled" the fuckin thing VERBATIM.

  • This is the textbook definition of a NIGGER. I'm not racist by the way, but this cats a thievin ass nigger. Sample my ass, mafucka took the whole fuckin thing.

  • Lol I cant believe the people on here that are making a big deal about sampling a riff from a video game lol. Do you know all the talnet that went into making the song a hit. Timbaland made the little electronic video game sample GREAT. He added layers to it and beats to make it what it was. All he has to do is drop the video game company some money and case closed.

  • @chestveeg WHY IS YOUR COMMENT NOT THE TOP COMMENT?? well said man all these fools on here just hating cuz tim has more talent in his pinky toe than they have in their entire family tree lol sampling is an art PERIOD

  • @chestveeg nah, the little electronic video game made Timbaland great, not literally of course, just in the eyes of retards like you who wouldn't know a c note from a f note

  • Thumbs up for this video showing how much of a dick he is? Or thumbs down because I don't like him and the interviewer is totally backing him up.

  • @brendonian That host was practically lapping his tongue at Timbs nuts! "HAHAHAHAHA!!!" I still have yet to figure out what was so "funny". o_O Kiss-ass...

  • I'm thinking of "sampling" Timbaland albums and selling them on a carboot sale. By his own admission, as long as I don't break into his house and steal them I'm not doing anything wrong.

  • Yeah a legend at being a fucking thief.

  • Alot of people on here hating and wasting their breath. Timbaland doe snot care of give a fuck what you think about the situation. He's paid and he's a legend in the production field......Fallback.

  • @snowbunniluver85 He might have paid but he's still a cunt for taking someone else's work without permission and then insulting the guy. By his standards, it would be totally fine if I took his song, said "I did this" and sold it. This fucker has to get real and learn that you can't do whatever the fuck you want without there being consequences.

If you make music, MAKE IT. That's what I do and that's what most producers do. He didn't make ANY music there.

  • @snowbunniluver85 wooooord lol

  • TIMBERLAND U WACK

  • Stupid nigga !!! If you don't own the rights to use the samples...you're stealing it fool !!! This case was a good spot to show you that even with Creative Commons, we, little creative people, can easily get raped with our own stuffs !!!

  • Comment removed

  • It is this fucker that needs to be shot, not people like 2pac or Biggie.

  • @davidmjeong926 Timbaland ALREADY got shot, you dumb fucker!

  • @KamikaziGangsta3201 That is good to hear, but not nice to know that he's still alive.

  • y'all need to buy shirts saying I'm a simple bitch. get real ppl wtf are you complaining about?if you can do the shit he does then i will listen to your shit too, but until then shut the fuck up.geez ppl enjoy the music re re's

  • @freddip87 YEEEEESSSSSS lol

  • hes a clown how you cant talk about it and in legal talks if you didnt steal they song....com on son!!!!

  • What a thieving cunt!

  • wow i really just lost all respect for this cocksucker after hearing this.

  • he should have apologized and just paid up right away. acting like a jerk only makes things worse.

  • A denegerate fucking thief. Not only did he steal, but he also acts like an arrogant asshole. I hope his career crashes and burns. Of course it won't, but one can dream.

  • I'd be more sympathetic to Timbaland if he wasn't being represented by an industry organization that is waging a war on filesharing. If sampling is OK, so is sharing.

  • Dear Mr. Timbaland, YOU ARE A B1TCH of the highest power. A little twinkle-twat fuck-face.

    Sincerely,

    The "dude"

  • WHAT SONG IS THIS ABOUT? AND WHAT IS COMMODORE 64?

  • see i like the dudes music and i respect his sampling skills... BUT, what he's doing is working around the system. using samples that he thinks cant be trace which means he gets all the money. look at kanye west back in his prime. even though he uses samples, he gets permission. THATS HOW IT WORKS! its not about how much of the song he uses! ITS ABOUT THE FACT HE DIDNT PAY THE MAN AND HE REFUSED TO HIS FACE!!

  • He says if he buys a keyboard he can do whatever beats he wants. Thats the same that saying that if I got a gun, I could fire on whom I want!!!

  • oh yeah I'm just gonna 'sample' an arabic beat from 1960 and not reference the original owner. 'SAMPLE'

  • He actually thinks people can't see it is the exact same song. The original composer even zoomed in 2000% or more to see the waveforms, it was his exact stuff (the SID arp sounds that is). So he stole the song AND partly the sound. And thought people are stupid enough to not hear it, or else he wouldn't defend himself. Amazing.

  • Cunt.

  • since most of you dont know the first thing about producing and copyright law, its no surprise you think he didnt answer the question correctly. He is not used to explaining this stuff to non musicians. what he was saying is that there is a clear legal difference between saying "I composed this " and "I used this recording".1st is about the idea (wich noone can take away without legal consequences) 2nd is about this particular recording.thats two different sets of rights right there.

  • Comment removed

  • Using a composition is way more costy than using a recording. Also stealing(= not registering that you used) from a composition can have fatal legal consequences, while stealing a recording is pretty much okay. its up to the owner of the recording to "sample claim". If you arent famous you can use every sample without having to worry , but if you´re timbaland , of course people will sample claim, and even people who he didnt steal from will be among them. thats what this is about.

  • FUCK YOU TIMBALAND

  • Does he look like a bitch?

  • Just love how he never denies he stole the song. What he is saying is, if I download his song and did I not go to his house and steal it, its all legal. oohh and that interviewer, he is so star struck he couldn't tell mouth from ass.

  • what an egomaniac

  • lol at vague difference between stealing and sampling.

all rappers do this, thats why its a lesser form of music for the most part.

  • Stealing is physically going to the original producer's house? If we follow this logic, illegal downloading isn't stealing (since you didn't actually go to a store and take a CD with you without paying). But the thing is that it is. That's why it's illegal. I expected more valid reasons to justify what he did, it's disappointing.

  • Ima sum it all up, dude ain't a real musician, he's an opportunist, and for that I give this no real music talent having brotha props cuz he actually made YOU the listeners gossip about his repetitive trax, the fact is off you don't like it don't listen to it, this is america baby

  • What a liar...

  • A total fucking dick head.

  • what a shitsack - he thinks that since "it's from a video game," the original composer is an "idiot" and he has the right to rip it off...I used to dig Shock Value but not anymore.

  • LOL

I should use Timbalands definition of stealing next time I download his music off the internet and get in trouble.

"I didn't go to your house and steal it, hey I just got it from the internet... hey I liked it, didn't know whether it was public domain or not!"

  • This happens all the time. Though his actions weren't right, other artists do the same thing. Take Daft Punk for example they didn't give credit to Sister sledge for aerodynamic.

  • @FuturaNos So I guess that it's ok to download music for free.

  • @AgimA74 No I didn't say it was ok. What I'm saying is that theses situations occur all the time. I know its wrong but what can you do about. Complaining won't change anything. Another person for example is Kanye. He does the whole "sampling" thing all the time and so does Daft Punk. There are many songs that you can say that sound alike, being that there is only 12 notes in music.

  • what an idiot fucking thief

  • Timbaland is a bitch

  • all the best songs he did rip off big pimpin

    video game....??

  • @SuperMscheeks Erm... It wasn't stolen from a game, but from an artist... (If that's what you're asking) There are chips that you can put into keyboards i believe that give you the whole 8/16bit sounds

  • check this retard man he not only stealing the music but also insulting the original creator of the music wtf !!! also he is saying that "stealing is walking in ur home and stealing ur beats" then lets all download his fucking music and sample man fuck i didnt went in his home to steal it fuck him

  • @StreetzBeatz Shut the fuck up you don't even know much about music,do you know how to produce successful music? He samples not steals.Stealing is actually what he said just in a less blunt way take it or leave it.sampling is taking a part of the song, changing it up and making it into your own sound which he does because his beats are not exactly the same as the original at all,he has to change it up in a way add drums, piano, different instrumental sounds for it to sound familiar to previous work

  • @jwings84 shit bitch ur ears fucked up? and who the fuck r u to judge me if i know music or not,do u know me? keep ur non sense to ur self

  • @StreetzBeatz do i need to know you because i don't agree with your hatred for a great hiphop producer, telling from ur profile name ur probably striving for where his gotten,i'd be mad to keep your hate to yourself and i'll do the same since ur an idiot in the sense that your sat in ur chair critising timberlands work even though you do not know him n yet you want me to keep my 'non sense' to myself. Go back to school stupid motherfucka acting like you can produce anything better then wat he has

  • @jwings84 Don't be a retard. I think most of us know what sampling is. And you have it a bit backwards there even. Sampling is using a recorded part of another song. That's it. Then do whatever you want to it, or nothing. Timbo did that and more.

I think Timbo is great (I have friends featured on his albums btw - yay!) but he just went too far here again, and this interview puts him in a really bad light. He should've told him not to ask that question before the interview.

  • @StreetzBeatz dumbass, do you make every sound you make? obviously not

  • "But have i sampled...HELL YEAH!!"

  • Basically, he steals and he's not even educated enough to come up with a good defense. Pathetic thievery.

  • Stealing is if I physically go to your house. Sampling is if I just take it.... WHAT?! "I don't know what's public domain" then don't use it... research your shii so that this doesn't happen!

  • @Remembrance1692, absolutely ridiculous things he's said in this interview.

  • You cant really say shit when we all steal his music anyway who here honestly buys cd's. if it sounds good shut the fuck up and nod ur fucking head otherwise do better.

  • @fbman313, so plagiarizing is okay in your eyes. Okay.

  • Sampling should be where you give credit to where you get the loop. What Timbaland did is steal, not giving credit where it's due. Having "no credits" or "no time" to find out who composed a song is a horrible excuse for a producer like Timbaland. I say Timbaland should tell the truth, pay credit to where it's due, shut up, and be more considerate when he "samples" music.

  • @canticledrawl, exactly, but he won't admit it. Too dishonest too.

  • I hope "Timbaland" gets a bloody cancer. He is so full of himself that he propably stores his own feces.

  • @keima666

You know,he made awesome music, even if he riped the music, IT ALL ARE AWESOME SONGS!

actually, I don't care.. I love his songs.

    A bloody cancer to him?!

dude, be carefull what you say there..

  • @jpinghels

    it all are awesome songs

    oh look, sheep can type

  • this guy is a douchelord... the best thing he ever did for music was steal from a friendly unsuspecting finnish dude... you can gargle my load timbaland

  • @improvised88 Great comment! He IS a douchelord!!

  • fuck you timbaland

  • he isnt the problem, its the mutton who buy his shit like it was music are the problem.

  • @TheOnlyInsaneacyde, no he is the problem. People buy the music aren't the ones plagiarizing and making money off other people's original work.

  • @LloydChristmas777

he is the result of our disrespect for music
