Hey man, been watching a few of your vids. Nice stuff :) I've wanted to put up tutorial vids myself, but one thing I could never get past is that in my opinion, screams don't sound nearly as good without a mic. But you know what? Screw it :) people should take pride in their styles of screaming, and huzzah for helping people learn how to scream without hurting themselves :)

You seems to push out too much air in the beginning of the scream. Try no to use so much and you should be bale to get through the rest. It's all about breath control

you need a "zen" between closure and breath pressure

inhale screaming is when you clench up your throat and inhale, which will most likely result in serious vocal damage, and will sound like shit

Austin, your vids are amazing but just a word of advice, if you would be so kind as to listen: cover songs that fit your scream better. You are covering metalcore bands that use a different technique than your scream. BFMV uses vocal fry. I seriously think you could do some badass covers of The Black Dhalia Murder or At The Gates songs. None the less, I really enjoy your screaming.

Good going there, It's pretty awesome seeing people dedicate themselves to doing what they feel is right, I don't know if it's what you're doing in this case but I'm more of a Sonata Arctica (type 'o singing wannabe) and it's going alright, as long as you're dedicated and have the will to do what you want it's all possible (except for flying and shooting real bombs through your arse) you know the drill. nice, bit of advice thou you need to work on your mix of singing and screaming, cause you drowned out your singing with your screaming and it came over to harsh, nothing wrong with when u cover a song to bring the vocals to your range to make it less of a slap to the face when you change from singing to screaming. I found turn the volume up alot so that the music is the same volume as your scream helps to get used to it because your forced to bring up the vocals more keep up the good work

this was good but spencer chamberlain from underoath has a way different scream than that. it was like that when he first joined the band because he felt pressured to sound like their old singer dallas taylor but now he has gone back to his original screaming methods and not only are they more clear but are a bit lower and sound much better.

see the thing is, daron dosent scream as most people would teraxch you tos cream because he's basicly just pitching while shouting, theres a difference between shouting and screaming, its a similar technique as BFMV only much higher, partly because daron has a higher pitched voice
