it is good but you have to know what you are doing,

in low light it can givevery noisy pictures and not as sharp, in fact I found my best pictures were done without using the EXR mode,

If it had HD Movie & RAW Support, this wouldve been almost a perfect compact digital camera. i say 'almost' because theres no zoom during movie mode and and the Auto-EXR is pretty much useless. However it is still a very good 'point&shoot' compact digital camera and def worth the ca. $350. I highly recommend it!

I dunno why pple say this camera is good, it might be good in the picture quality but def not a handsome camera, G10 is more better.

Not a big fan of fugi except for maybe one camera . Maybe nowaday`s they got better.

Love the new underwater camera they have pretty cool...

It has "double" sensors with 2 of each color pixel side-by-side and different modes use "half" the pixels to get either higher dynamic range, or, more sensitivity in lower light, etc...

The sensor is also rather larger than those in other compacts at 1/1.6"

how do you know until you have tried this camera? I have all Canon gear but will definitely look at this as a pocket sized camera for casual shooting; shame no RAW.

no, i think they superimpose the pixels, similar to way the same way a FOVEON sensor works
