Japan is not a sovereign state, nor is South Korea, Germany, Italy, Spain and most of the states where US has it's military bases. We are living in an US empirical world which Galtung predicts will end in 2020. There are only few countries that are independent from U.S. One of them is North Korea. Very reason why it is called an enemy state. U.S abhors States that it cannot influence. So it tries everything to bring it down. It tried to assasiate castro of Cuba God knows how many times.

@buisyman If you would pull your head out of your ass you would know that Japan's constitution was written by the US and that Japan has effectively been a client state. Their foreign policy and military are tied with the US and that Japan is not allowed to develop offensive capabilities and must remain purely defensive in nature. Currently, US is trying to change Japan's constitution to allow for offensive capabilities so Japan can aid US in future confrontation with China.

Japan's Government is as Sovereign as it can get. In Japan, it is almost unconstitutional to think that PRK can wage war on it's neighbours. It is practicaly illegal to gear up national defence, but such is what the Japanese agreed too.

Japan is a Monarchy. Even though the Emporor can not be compared to the King of Thailand, the Emporor is still so non-sovereign.If a Head of State can not have some authority, no one can say the word Sovereign.
